Wanted to start a thread for everyone to post the prettiest Sprint Car or Supermodified they ever seen scratch dirt from their part of the country. This would be one of mine. Gene Gennetten /KC, MO., at Tampa. Chrome rollcage, bumbers, nerfs, Halibrand Mags on all four corners, silver/goldleaf numbers/trim,doublestep diamonds on both rears!,rib fronts, full length headers, exposed injectors. Now this looks like a race car!

Al Consoli makes every race car look a million bucks Smile

BTW: NO negative comments allowed in this thread,,,Smile

Steve G. If you see this Hope you are doing well.

I don't have a photo to post but my vote would go to the King O' Lawn Special. I saw it at Perris Auto Speedway a few years ago when Jimmie Oskie took it out for a few laps around the track.
It is absolutely gorgeous!

50th Stater, ascot48,

That King O' Lawn car has some nice lines! I bet there was more time spent on the upholstery work on that car than spent on most cars built today total time! I wonder if any of todays racers, knows what an English Wheel is? lol... That car looks very " west coast" BTW,,Smile Chrome, Shiney,Sweet...Is that a Stapp or a Beck car?

Take Care

If they do I bet they don't know how to form fiberglass with it!!

Doesn't an 'English Wheel' press/stretch/thin metal between 4 wheels???  The greater the radius, the more pressure required...

Seems like that might be detremental to the integrity of the fiberglass itself.

My personal top 5 would have to be:

Bubby Jones Gas Chem CRA sprint car from the 80's

The Agajainian 98 (Curtis?) roadster Parnelli Jones drove

Nick Rescino #3 San Jose Super modified from the late 80's - Red w/chrome wing

Weikert's #29 during the years Wolfgang drove it

The Twister Super Modified from AZ

Hey Ascot48, thanks for the photos of the #27 car! As nice as the photos are one really needs to see this car in person to appreciate it and I'll bet it would look even better without the cage!
