brian26,
the Hill Bros car # 1 is a piece of art. Looks like it should be cruising Hollywood Blvd , instead of at a race track!,, I'd guess however done the bodywork on this car had three louver presses to make it happen,, some fine lines of this piece for sure. Who owned/wheeled this car originnaly? im sure there is lotsa neat history behind it.Thanks for posting the pic.

Not the clearest picture, but here's one from Tampa/FL State Fair.Jerry Blundy. How many Old Timers on this board? This was one sweet lookin Trevis Craft car.
Chrome bumpers/nerfs, weightjackers both sides, upholstrey better than any passenger car, goldleaf numbering, notice the "roof" on it, arm restraints weren't thought of yet,,,, full length headers,,,sweet soundin!, and only whussies runs air cleaners,, Hailibrand Mags all four corners, double step diamonds rear, rib fronts. Craftsmanship par excellance'. Who needs decals plastered from stem to stern to be racey lookin?,,

This historic car is still raced at many vintage races here in Iowa. This car has to be one of the nicest cars ever . Please keep the pictures coming as this is the only way most can see the history of the sport we all love. Thanks to all for the pics.

Wanted to start a thread for everyone to post the prettiest Sprint Car or Supermodified they ever seen scratch dirt from their part of the country. This would be one of mine. Gene Gennetten /KC, MO., at Tampa. Chrome rollcage, bumbers, nerfs, Halibrand Mags on all four corners, silver/goldleaf numbers/trim,doublestep diamonds on both rears!,rib fronts, full length headers, exposed injectors. Now this looks like a race car!
Al Consoli makes every race car look a million bucks
BTW: NO negative comments allowed in this thread,,,
Steve G. If you see this Hope you are doing well.

The Western Wheels car was a Corkys paint job wasn't it? They did some of the best ever for my liking although my number one pick goes to Sammys TMC car.
I've been drawing sprintcars for t shirts for 25 years this year and the TMC #1 car is still the finest looking car I've seen, in print or on the track.

Any PA people on here? Was hoping a few would post their favorite version of the Weikert Beef Mobile.Or possibly west coast people posting some sleek old Frank Kurtis handywork.

One of my favorites was the Double Zero car that Tommy Dickson drove for Lyle Marsh at Eldora and Findlay in the midseventies. It was painted by the same person who did Dunseth's cars for Paul Leffler.

By the way, does anyone know that the left rear on that car is the first Weld Wheel design?

cmpvideo2go,
Does Lee James ever show up at any race tracks? Remember many moons ago when he resided in Lizton,IN.
