To start off I have to admit I dont know the relationship between the teams and drivers and the 3 letter titles to so and so racing and so and so motorsports blurs my already poor vision, but I'd did see an announcement the PPM is racing a var with 141 on it this weekend.
Does anyone have any facts about this? I understand Gravel is away so I thot PPM was designed to slide into the 41, but Shane Stewart is racing the 41 instead of PPm and PPM is in a new car I've never heard of.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

PPM is driving a 2nd JJR entry numbered "141". Shane will be in the 41 entry that is currently battling KKR 49 for the Owners' championship.

Show me the formal announcement saying PPM will no longer be driving the 141 at Lakeside/Lake Ozark. There has been no announcement regarding this weekend. So until otherwise, he's still driving the 141. Now if PPM wants to put out that he quit the team because he's not as good as Shane Stewart and is throwing a hissy fit over not getting the 41 while the 41 is trying to make up for the horrible Saturday night at Port Royal, then so be it.

Lmao, so PPM was tabbed as the replacement driver for Gravel when that time comes, but hes not good enough to put in the car this weekend??? Hopefully PPM is smart enough to get as far away from the mess as quick as he can. Sounds like the owner is up to her old tricks and shitting on people like she always has. Karma is a b*tch, hope it doesnt catch up to her one day.......

Would you put the Veteran that had 2 top 5 finishes at LOS earlier this year + 4 Top 10s in 5 starts at Lakeside or the lesser experienced driver that finished 14/20 earlier at LOS and hasn't made a WoO start at Lakeside while trying to win an Owners' Championship? Pretty easy decision.

True, but I thought the plan was when David wasn't in the car PPM was suppose to. Way to have faith in the driver who helped you get to this point. There is no loyalty

If i had been grooming a young driver in the same equipment, same team, and the original plan was that he was taking over that ride at some point. He would be in the car. Shane has had no experience in that car, working with that team anything. So if PPM is the future driver, hes in the car regardless of the points situation. But if hes being shit on like the owner likes to do to people, then the decision makes sense....

Eh, to each their own. Everything points towards Macedo in the 41 next year, so that probably isn't sitting well either. In reality, think he'd be better off running full time in the 14 next year, but so be it. Cut your teeth running your own car on the Tour.

Well with the 2 team allegedly shutting down, I'm taking Macedo every day of the week. He was the first choice over Gravel in 2018, but Macedo had been already signed to KLR for a few months prior. Nothing against Parker and I'm sure he'll have a fine career, but this year in the 14 was essentially a tryout, and he's not someone that's going to currently put the team in the top 5 in points. Good kid, wish nothing but the best. Maybe he can pull in another high tier ride like the Swindell 39 or the Roth 83 and prove the 41 team wrong.

I agree with your statement, but this isnt about the Macedo, he hasnt been confirmed. Sounds like it will, but right now it hasnt. So again pretty shit on the owners side to not give the kid the chance he was told he would get. But is what it is.

PPM didn't qualify at Port and was average in the 41 when he had the car. Shane is a better driver at this point and they are still very close in the owner's points which pays $75k in a typical year.

So a bad outing and a couple random outings in the car constitute going back on your word and the plans for the future that they put all their time, money and effort into???

Yes when you're talking about a chance at winning a championship. Not to be harsh, but a big reason PPM gets rides is because he brings funding, not necessarily results.
