can they fix the ridiculously long lines to get in the track? Why did they decide 2 booths are enough. They have a 3rd line dedicated to season pass holders but as I was waiting, I saw no one use it.

Try getting a vehicle through that line. Definitely a fustercluck

When they are fixing the lines.  Have them put more water on the racing surface!  I hate asphalt racing!

I walked up to both at the tunnel at 5:15 there were two people in front of me. I really don't want to miss any races at Port because I don't want to miss it when a driver takes the mic from the guy showing up at accident scenes  asking what happened and throws it down the track. He didn't seem to take the hint when the Latemodel drivers on the front stretch wouldn't talk to him.

Couldn't agree more. He's pretty annoying. Most of the time he sticks the mic in the car and the driver is still wearing their helmets and you can't hear a thing they're saying. They need to bag him before he catches a driver in the wrong mood and gets that mic wrapped around his head

Yes horrible track conditions again.  Give them a tacky fast track instead of a skating rink dust bowl and the winners outcome would different!  Really feel bad for the ones sitting in the grandstands.  They way as well paved the place.  It has been several years since I have seen the track in this condition this early in the year.  Just wait until summer.

Agreed.  If they want to do interviews after heat race wins, he needs to be in the pits after the driver is out of the car.  Interviewing the drivers with their helmets on sound like a mouthfull of mashed potatoes.

Promoter said they are worling on new ticket booths, can't believe with a track doing all the improvements they are doing, bringing the big races races to you, you always find something to bitch about. Be thankfull you have a place like Port to go to. Rember you are at a dirt track and dust is part of it, was it dusty, yes, been to a lot worse, wish I didn't have to drive 3+ hours to get there, thumbs up for Port.

Ok then let me not bitch about something, grear run for Macri.  But then again, started front row with very little passing.  Congrats to Little Freddie at Lincoln!  Really nice kid !!!!  Remembe this is a forum, good or bad comments.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  Props to Strauser, Minthess and others for speading their minds as well.

Got there a little after 4 and there was no line at the ticket booth by the tunnel. I thought it was a great show and some good racing last night but what do I know? Cars running up against the wall, on the bottom and through the middle. Don't know what more you could want. My only complaint is the length of these bigger shows. They are becoming 5-6 hour marathons. I love LM's but decided to leave before their feature as it was approaching 11(show started @6) and I had already been there about 7 hours. That's a long time for people to be sitting in the stands, especially for my gf who has bad knees and back. It's good that they are getting such large car counts and tremendous fan support for the big shows but I wish there was some way to speed up the show. 1 car TT's are bullshit in this day and age if you ask me, especially when you have 47 cars. About an hour and a half wasted! They have transponders and can put several cars on the track at once. If it was me, I'd put each heat group out at 1 time just like they do for hot laps. Give them 4-5 laps so that each car should be able to get a clean lap in. That would not only make TT's less boring but also cut the length in half.

One thing about the dust we were talking last night about how those good lights make the dust more visible. No matter what the track conditions are you are going to see it. You want to save some time, put more cars on the track at a time for hot laps. Hot laps are getting to be a marathon. The days of thirty minutes for hot laps are over even for regular shows. Most times if Port starts late it is because laps take 45 minutes or more. I guess I am going have to start working later on Sat nights again. I was always used to hearing the National Anthem as  I  walked through the parking lot, going in and sitting to watch races. As for the racing I spent most of that race watching the 94 go from 20th to 8th and almost passed two more for 6th on the last lap. With 46 cars there were no slow cars among the ones he passed.

So you guys got to go to a race with 47 410s and 29 super lates for a $22 ticket.

I got to sit in a blizzard in South Dakota.

You got to look thru dust; I was looking thru a whiteout.

What the fuck are you complaining about?

Couldn’t have said it better dude. I too live in SD, yet west of Aberdeen so we got very little of the blizzard. All these guys bitchin yet some of us will be stuck in winter for awhile yet and even then, though im lucky Aberdeen is having one NOSA show this year, other than that to see a sprint show I have to drive at minimum 4 hours. I’d give my left nut to see a one groove dry slick sprint race with 20 cars for $50 a ticket, let alone 47 for $22!

The racing was good, no complaints there. $22 ticket price was pretty cheap given they had the late models on the card. Just need to fix the ticketing situation.

+1. How about 1 lap TT’s if > 40 (pick a #) cars?
