Now that many are complaining about the 360 Fords dominating and the 410 was right with the best chevs Wed nite for a while, I thought I should post this for everyone.
Why do chevy guys (most sprint car people) want our sport to continue to be stagnant or even practically suck? Jack Dover brought his RY Ford to the nationals and beat everyone but the better funded 410 veterans from the most famous families in the sport! Dover is just as fast as JJ without NASCAR money. The WoO guys have the same "lets make sure nothing better or new happens" attitude as those complaining about JJ.
Just so everyone knows... RY is being forced to experiment and spend a lot more effort and money because of a bunch of idiotic rules the WoO have that are supposed to save money. Its yet another sign of the WoO sprint people's stupidity. They put rules in place a few years ago to prevent racers from spending big money to make a chevy head like a Ford. Now a small block Ford from early 1970s Country Squire station wagons is illegal and RY has to start from scratch instead of using what they already are accustomed to. The company that makes the head RY is using on the 410 clearly states their other Ford head the WoO wont allow is the most durable. Its going to be sweet when the RY 410 starts dominating like the 360 Fords knowing that it isn't even best Ford stuff. Remember when no chevy could touch the Ford powered #9 Silver Crown car with multiple drivers 10 years ago? The head they used in the that car called SC1 (which stands for sprint car!) is illegal in a WoO sprint.
Its mind blowing why the WoO want to ignore the countless Ford fans. If they knew what was good for them, they should be praying that RY puts some canted or rotated valve Fords on the track instead of outlawing them.

You act like Chevy doesn't have a canted valve head that is also illegal.

What is mindblowing is it always the same rant with you, on multiple forums. When you own a team, run a Ford. Otherwise, cheer for those who do, and shut it about the ones that don't.

Wait... according to the other closet ford whores....Dover had a CHEVY in at eagle...his home track.... seems strange that if the fords are that amazing he would have had the other brand in at his home track!

Dover's 410 is a Chevy...Shaver I believe but his 360 Ford is a rocket as evident this weekend at I-80 Speedway.

Canted valve chevies weren't in passenger cars on showroom floors all over the country 40 years ago. Canted valve chevies weren't smashing NASCAR records that still stand 25 years ago. Canted valve chevies weren't giving Karl Kinser absolute fits 20 years ago.

Did you ever hear of a big block chevy with its canted valves .. First produced about 45 years ago.. It is called the grandfather of the Ford canted valve engine..
So you like Chevrolet's idea with canted valves? You know there were alot of
chevy passenger cars with canted valve big blocks 40 yrs. ago.. I owned a few
myself.. And 30 yrs. ago in the early 80's they gave Karl Kinser fits.. The canted valve
big block chevy was king of central Pa. sprint car racing in the early 80's.. That is
until the outlaws set a 410 limit. I think there was a 430 limit first then 410..

SC1 are legal here in Aust :)
Seriously.I'm as Ford mad as anyone and I'm not privvy as to why canted type heads are banned in WOO but with the
$$$ figures bandied about for a current spec 410 it would make zip of difference to the bottom line with a checkbook.
Would love to see FORD runnin up front at WOO level.

Nothing changes except in the mind of mindless.
2011: WoO sprint car champ Jason Meyers and Charlotte sprint car champ Finals Night winner Donny Schatz used Chevy power, Big Block Mod champ Matt Sheppard and Finals Night Big Block champ Tim McCreadie w/ big block Chevy power and the bowtie sweep ends with WoO Late Model champ Rick Eckert and Finals Night champ Jimmy Owens as well as 98% of all 141 finals night entrants using Chevy power . Add to the mix Don O'Neal's capture of the 2011 Knoxville Late Model Nationals and Jimmy Owens wraps up the championship title in the Lucas Oil Late Model series both w/ Chevy power. Nothing will change for 2012 regardless of the amount of money Ford thru Roush-Yates pumps into building motors.
IN ADDITION: 2011 USAC Sprint Car champion and USAC Silver Crown champion Levin Jones had bowtie power in both cars. Hey, mindeless, take a look at any issue of National Dragster magazine and looking at all the classwinners runnerups, etc, 75% of all cars will have bowtie motors powering them down the dragstrip. 24% will have Mopar and the other "various". 99.9% of the funny cars and top fuel dragsters (nitro powered) will have the big Mopar hemi(no change ever will be seen there unless da Bum in Charge in D.C. puts out an executive decision that they have to use electric motors. Been that way for 50 years and not about to change any time soon. As far as your local circle tracks, 99% of all motors in all classes from Super Stock to Street Stock to B--Mods and A Mods to limited and unlinmited late models, once again if you don't have a bowtie motor, you is not in the winner's circle.
Hate to send mindless to the basement to cry, but he keeps bringing this up, so expect a spanking: Indy Car Series: domination by the new Indy Car series Chevrolet engine all year long. AND, those Harley's continue to dominate the professional Pro Stock motorcycle class with Eddie Kwaic (Spelling) Andrew Hines on their Screaming Eagles.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.
