Zero truth about contacting the state for funding.

Wanna retract that comment?  I dont want to pull reliable sources and prove you wrong, but you are 100% wrong sir. I understand you may work in the busienss at Hartford, but that doesnt mean you know this inside info. Its not a bad thing to go looking for money from the State of SD / Governor's office of economic development, because part of what they do is help businesses in South Dakota, however, this particular venture is not something they decided to pursue.

He's married to Steve Rubin's daughter. I would say he has more info than you do.

I'm just going to say that neither you or your 'reliable source' seem to know much about government financing. For example, the Office of Economic Development is not some palce you just dial and ask for money. Everything they do takes months to years to get to fruition. What they do is all based on bringing economic growth and new jobs to the state. But go ahead- prove us wrong. That might be fun.

ps. You don't seem to know much about Shawn Neisteadt either.

disclaimer: I don't have any reliable sources that know any more than the rest of us do about what's going on south of Brandon. But I can spot nonsense when I read it.

Apparently it was a done deal before February 2nd according to Shake n Bake, and yet over two weeks later and no announcement.    Of course it's not Friday either...

This looks like a step in the right direction. I know that it's not what some in the industry want to see happen but it will help it as a whole. First I90 reopens and now it looks more positive for the rebirth of husets . Great news for the area race fans.

Not holding my breath. Believe it when I see it. There is no website for either Badlands or Husets fyi.

Add that today Mr. Brennan is in a Federal Lawsuit over fraud.

I will believe Husets is running again when I see cars on the track. Call me Thomas.

Apparently, selling the track is not a option.

This is the deal chuck is the problem forget court jail is the right place, the fans up there all went in with him said what a great guy he's all about racing. The real fan that's been around sprint car racing understands running your mouth about Knoxville who? I'm sick of Knoxville. The way to make it  in today's racing is to work with the other tracks all run different night . Plan to ran and work and support each track. Husets Knoxville Jackson .if you can race all 3 places  or more in week a team mite be able to buy that 55,0000 dollar motor 410 racing is down cause you can't race to pay for the cost , plus there's no car owners like Gil sonners 47 anymore he just owned and he just hired a driver. Today it's rich kids daddy owns it .in a few years if I'm not in nascar the kid and car are gone, like Cody d?, people needed to think when chuck came in running his mouth and racing against Knoxville was dum, because it's not just another track he was racing against history .driver come from all over to just race there 1time,there coming from all over to race huset not Jackson and Knoxville work together both are doing ok husets closed,I hope it opens again but when a place gos away even just a short time fans find other things to do,go other places ,tracks, if ascot and manzy in Phoenix is gone husets needs a prayer. The Doug Wolfgang , and the other old timers  needed to tell chuck to think and stop running your mouth about other tracks.some day you just mite need some help, and paying drivers like mccarl to race there good for Terry's? But if chuck was all that they'd come anyway.plus all the other cars. anyway to make the few 410 cars work they need more places to race not more places  on the same night. 40 years a fan.

It's almost comical at this point.  The clown said if financing wasn't arranged by March 1st it would be bulldozed and not available to anyone else to purchase.  Now it's for sale again.  Can someone please tell me why they believe a word he says?

Here's the thing.  Something is only worth what someone will pay for it.  As we've seen people aren't willing to pay $9.5 million, $6 million or $3 million at the auction for this place.  I love this place as much as anyone and as much as I hate to say this, work with someone to sell it or bulldoze it, I'm sick of the fake deadlines, jabs at fans and local businessmen, hearing the different supposed amounts of money that were invested and what a bargain it is.

This post makes a ton of sense to me.   If Lunstra and a couple of others were at the auction and weren't even willing to place a bid at 3 mil, then I don't see where any other group of investors would be willing to go 6 mil on it.  One thing's for sure, if it was going to sell someone would have bought it already.   I still hope a solution can be found, but I was expecting to hear that there was heavy equipment tearing into the place.
