Its Reutzel that has the deal with Toyota and he brings that deal to whatever team he races for. Bell is the one who suggested to Toyota who to use for the 410 development. It was Reutzel, Scelzi and Ellison. Engine builders were going to be Speedway for Reutzel, because that's who Roth uses and Rider for the other two for the same reason. However much like everything else, Covid delayed the progress of the engines.
Gio for whatever reason was given what was ready from Rider and Speedway was dead in the water. From what I understand on how Reutzel got the late season engine offer from Toyota with the limited amount of ready to go engines, was due to KCP not running the Toyota engines every night in the 18. I think that pissed off TRD and they yanked their motors from KCP. Not 100 % on that, but it's close.

Exactly, Reutzel has the agreement. I never know how much to say on these things because you never want to say to much. Reutzel has a lot of stuff going on. Don't care what people think of him but our garage will always have his back.

Dont care for him(just dont like him is all) but the dude can flat out wheel a sprint car. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Best of luck to that team going forward. To all his detractors everyone deserves a 2nd chance. To all his defenders he got caught cheating. Hopefully every thread about the 8 team doesnt go into name calling.

I agree, I don't care much for his personality or the method of his cheating issue. But I do agree he can wheel a sprint car and the sport is fortunite to have him. Controversy is always welcome in any sport. He deserves that second chance. What if Kyle Larson had been denied that second chance with NASCAR. The declining interest in NASCAR got a hell of a boost this year because of that second chance.

This is his 3rd chance. He got caught cheating 3 times. The 3rd time they suspended him.

Larson didn't cheat 3 times. He didn't cheat at all, unlike Reutzel.

Honest mistake. Inspection sticker blew off while pressure washing and they put it back on the wrong car.
