Is it common practice to determine the size of an injector by measuring the bore inside the pinch clamp?
The reason I ask is I recently purchased what was claimed to be a 2 5/8 Kinsler from a guy, it turned out to be a 2 1/2. When I called the guy on it and told him it was a 2 1/2 throttle bore and we needed to do something about it He told me he wasn't going to take the manifold back just because I measure it differently than he and his engine builder.

The correct way to measure the size is by taking the tops off and measuring the butterflies. Measuring the size with the tops on will give you a false reading.
