Every chance that I get!! I did manage to make it to the Nationals once, the only time I've been able to get away for that long.

I love all sorts of racing, but the Nationals was definitely the highlight of my experiences thus far. Hopefully it won't be long before I can get there again.

...BRR...speaking of interesting...I bet it has been good times as of late in the VIP...with Leppo's recent hot streak, I bet Grandma, Grandpa, and the rest are having a blast...look forward to seeing the whole crew again this year...

...I guess at this point it would be pointless for me to try and tell Big Slim and the likes that you really have to experience the WoO vs Posse at the Grove to understand the posse fan's pride...oh well, I guess to each his own...

...WoO at Attica Friday...hopefully Wilson, Reed, or one of our boys can hang one on 'em...

Okay BRR, some Posse stats for ya'. I've said for years that your boys win at the Grove more because of the track than anything else and while many agree here's a few bits of info that help the cause.

In this decade the Outlaws have raced at Grandview and Port Royal only, while in the Grove area. The Outlaws have won ALL 9 races and the Posse have one second place and a couple of thirds and fifths to show for their efforts. That's a beating on your home turf!

At Lincoln let's go back from the 80's on, even though 1996 was their last visit, sadly. Steve Kinser has 13 wins alone and Lynn Paxton was the only local to even come second in any of those years. Scrufy had a couple runner-ups but was an Outlaw regular more than a Posse regular for most of those years. Of the 32 wins the locals have single victorys from Freddie, Billy Brian, Chris Eash and Donnie Kreitz, Scruffy had a couple during his hay-days with the Outlaws also. Pretty dominating methinks.

For an area that has the MOST 410 racing in the country and likely always has one would expect you to have the best results against the touring boys and you do, at the Grove. My beef started years ago when goofs were telling me it was the best racing with the best drivers, something I never did understand. Ironically, most of these same people hadn't ever been anywhere so there was virtually no validity in my opinion to what they were saying. There is lots of great racing in Posseville but does it have the best racers, hardly. The handicapping system alone is what's make it so good and if they ever change that I think it will be a big mistake. I often hear how lousy the time trial shows are when compared with the standard weekly racing and the invert is likely the best reason why.

Another perspective to look at might be the 5W car this year. It was likely the best local against the Outlaws last year and I think there was a couple of top fives in the area against the big dogs as well. Jump to this year and see where it is in points, that's just how tough it is competing against the best in the biz, night after night. Freddie always got this, he respected the Outlaws way more than the average fan and if a few more had talked to him about how good he thought those guys were there would have been much less chest beating by a few of the cheerleaders. I talked to him at the Slick 50 and again in Australia and he loved competing against them and believed he could beat them and I agreed then and now. Fred had other priorities in life and he made the right decision and I will always respect, admire and cheer for him as a result. Yeah I pick on him now and then but I do so as he was the best of the Posse and he was the one to use in the reference because he was number one.

There will continue to be 'surprise' winners at the Grove because there is a bunch of racers there who are just plain fast and know going in how the Outlaws struggle there which confidence wise, means everything. There is nothing more exciting than a local beating the big dogs and for the race fan in PA this is the equivalent to a lotto hit, good on ya'. It will happen again and this board will light up and I will smile, laugh and even grimace a wee bit but it's all in fun save for a few, sadly. Enjoy your racing wherever you are, for more than a dozen years it was my life and I lived, breathed and ate sprint car racing, boy I loved those days. I got burned out, it became a job and it was time to move on, c'est la vie. I have a couple of friends up here that played in the NHL for about the same amount of time, they have very similiar thoughts about their sport as well and not following the sport made it even easier for them to move on, guess I've done the same thing. Hope it doesn't rain this weekend, wherever you go, Take It Easy....

pa boys did pretty good (100%) at port til the last 3 races. i even got to see the king spin out and give up one night, throwing his helmet into the car and walking away. i have liked him ever since, someone who doesn't like getting wooped that bad is a driver to me.

Lucas is barely into his first year on the tour. Give him some time to get acquainted. How did McCarl do his first year? Kemenah? Dollansky? Myers? Schatz? Saldana? Beuller? Anyone?

I think Lucas will win at least one race this year.

I could have sworn that Steve Smith beat the WOO a couple times at Lincoln. I am also saddened that the WOO doesn't race at Lincoln anymore. The field is MUCH tougher now than 10-12 years ago when Freddie and Bill Brian Jr. were smacking the outlaws around.

i posted the STATS that you deemed unavailable...and almost a week later - the best you can do is cherry pick select years and events to produce a long winded narrative that never bothered to mention 2 FOAW that actually BEAT the WoO in2007.

you are rambling and wandering all over the map that you might need GPS to get your @ss back home. the only thing you left out of your pained argument was crediting the openwheel times author for doing your homework!

hell you even contradict TMAC , Schatz, Kinser and Lasoski in the rant. they have said time and time again in press articles that the Posse are the toughest local racers they face all year. case closed until the DRIVERS say otherwise...hilarious that a burn out like you would take argument with them to remind us how far out of touch you have fallen.

i rest my case carnie...you are not only a self admitted bum but a certified numbskull who can't avoid stepping in that shitmess of posts you claim for a legacy.

Kemenah won the first race out his rookie year I think but it was the split year. Lucas was with the NST that year.

Bum and carnie, lmao. My legacy is in the tens of thousands of photos hanging on walls of Hosers and other sprint car fans in quite a few countries, yours again is???? For someone who bragged to me about the cocaine he used to do back in the band days I wonder who's brain is really fried. I did something in the sprint car world and you've never left the porch, you're jealousy comes through loud and clear, typical wannabe stuff. Stick with your stereo sales and rants about democrats, blacks, women and assorted other tripe, it's what your best at. Maybe even a date would help, you ever try that, lol? Take It Easy.....

Hypocrite. Once...............just once, I'd like to see you say 1/64th of what you type on here to any driver in PA. You trash Fred and others for staying on the porch, and then try to pass off this rubbish?? Just more of the same backtalkin', two-faced junk. Kinda like your tax evasion............isn't it??

Please, please come to the Royal this year Mikey. I promise right here and now that if you show up at the E for the Royal...........I'll go to the movies that night.

Chris....nice to hear from you as well, the Royal isn't too far off and the VIP brethren look forward to making the annual trip west. ...Hey Clint...long time...saw your pic in victory lane with the Leppo crew...classic !...let us know what your plans are for the Royal...you guys coming in early for the Doty ?...taking vacation over that weekend, can hardly wait...I have set up my own speed week plan...if you or any of the crew want to join me for any of the following, just let me know...

Weds 7/9...Doty Classic (Limaland)

Thurs 7/10...setting up camp at a cottage on the lake in Celina, then possibly heading south to Lawrenceburg for Indiana Sprint Week show

Fri 7/11...Indiana Sprint Week (Gas City)

Sat 7/12...Kings Royal

Sun 7/13...Indiana Sprint Week (Kokomo)

...like I said, if you're up for any of it...we will have room for another passenger or two...the Gas City show the night before the Royal is the one you might want to consider...great show, and it's only a hour or so drive from the Big E...

...we'll be in touch...

Chris - the Thursday wingless option has been discussed among our group. we have some motor homes so we the extra seat or two might be handy if the weather looks favorable.

...it will be interesting to see if the "new" Lawrenceburg can live up to all the hype...
