I would assume that Buch may have considered getting out but Pursley brought money which allowed them to continue. I don't think this is an unfunded move.

It'll be pretty clear with the look of the car pretty soon. It's a good move and Pursely has some good sponsor money behind him, his rise this year has been impressive

Why would Crouch leave the 1? Doesn't his family own the 1 car?

This all still rumor, but I think it has been confirmed that Justin Peck is NOT going to be the driver of the CJB 5 car. It has also been rumored that Crouch motorsports is going to bring back the #11 car as well.

Gravel to high limit?

I hope not. It would cost him a lot of money. If he goes on to win the championship pretty sure the defending champion gets quit a bit more show up money each night. That few hundred $ a night X's eighty some races added up.

My reliable, connected source tells me the rumors of Peck to the 5 (best wishes) and Pursley to the 13 are true
|
Guessing your source isn't Kevin Rudeen.

Justin's Dirtrackr Daily podcast is one of my favorites. Yesterday he pointed out that Husets has announced their dates for the High Bank Nationals, and it is NOT on the WOO schedule, but it looks like no other race is schedule however Knoxville has their June races the week before. HL hasn't announced dates yet that I'm aware of either.
Justin stated Husets would have some bargaining power with both series, and if Husets goes FLO, does Gravel go HL?

I believe that Gravel will be switching to HL soon. Maybe not next season, but within the next 2 or 3. It is no longer a matter of “If” but more of a matter of “when”. He talked about it in an interview. He said that he and Brad Sweet will compete for a championship again within the next 3 years. He even used the word “guarantee”.
The link is below. It is at the 5 minute mark in the video.

I just watched the video. He says they'll race against each other, but that it could be Outlaws OR HL.... don't twist the facts

I highly doubt that Sweet will be running for the Woo championship again.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I was going to create another post but I thought the topic was related enough to keep it on this string. Soooo much emphasis has been put into the fan experience. As a Knoxville regular, I get to see the best of the best.
With the two sanctioning bodies vying for the same pool of drivers, does more emphasis need to be put into the drivers needs. And maybe this is happening just on a smaller scale that I don't notice it.
A couple of things come to mind:
1. Money: how much money will a driver make throughout the year. Tow money, Point Fund, Insurance?, shared revenue (streaming)
2. Drivers: Preferred parking spots for rigs and tee shirt haulers, communication between officials and teams, safe racing conditions, safety team.
I know there are some former drivers, and teams who have been involved in racing in this forum. What else would sway a decision on what series to race at?

Schedule. Some of the 2024 HL full timers said that with the WoO schedule you have very little time to live a life outside of racing in the series. They chose HL because they get more flexibility and time off. If you have an airplane like Donny Schatz you can just fly home after the Saturday night WoO race but most racers don’t have that luxury.
The 2025 Outlaw schedule has them racing 35 Weekends with at least one Friday, Saturday or Sunday race. That leaves only 17 free weekends and most of those are in November, December, January and February.
