Does anyone else have problems with buffering? I have plenty of speed on my internet but sometimes it's unwatchable. If I watch replays or shows there is no problem, only live events. I'm not knocking them I love the content but really wish I had an answer.

Any suggestions ?

I had the same issue and I just reduced the pixel quality down to 450 instead of auto or 1080. This helped alot

I have very few problems with buffering.  Almost none really.  I have AT&T wired internet and my speed is usually around 50 mb.  That's not all that fast.  My Roku and Fire Stick both run off wireless.  I can stream both Flo and DV at the same time with almost no issues.  I see folks like you having issues a lot.  I'm not sure how it can be Flo's problem when many others like myself have no issues.  Maybe your service has bandwidth issues.  It might be fast enough but can't carry enough data to stream video well enough.  But that might not explain how replays work ok.  I really have no idea and I know its frustrating.  I just know mine works really well most of the time.  And I don't have anything special as far as internet speed goes.

if you are streaming with a hdmi cable from your puter, get a roku and install the flo app.  i had the exact same issue, no more!!  roku in really inexpensive...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Roku and Fire Stick both work great for me.  And both are inexpensive.  That's all I use for TV.  The apps work pretty well most of the time.  I bought the FS because it was supposed to do split screen but I can't make that work.  So I just login to DV on one and Flo on the other and switch inputs to jump back and forth.  With the FS I can do it by voice command.  It's simple and easy.

As others have said, it's more likely the device you're streaming to rather than the connection speed.  My internet connection is not super fast.  have a Roku Ultra on one older TV, and a Roku Express for the other TV which is a smart TV with an android OS.  I bought the 2nd Roku when I got tired of streaming from my phone to that TV since Flo doesn't have an Android app.  I've rarely had any issues with either and the Roku Express was about 20 bucks.

If you are watching through a ROKU TV or ROKU box, that may be the issue.  You will need to upgrade the box. I had these issues and Flo came right out and told me that if I am using these that they may be older and they cannot handle the newer updates and will run slow.  I bought a new box for $19 bucks and it is blazing fast.  No issues since.  Good luck

Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all fix when it comes to streaming.  Some here have had luck with Roku or Firestick.  I do not.  I am on the old fashioned laptop--cord--TV.  I never have an issue at all.  Flawless.  I simply cannot get the Roku to work without constant issues.  I have problems on my Roku with live events as it is, and DV and Flo are no exception.

You claim to have "plenty of speed on your internet" but there is clearly an issue.  Also, watching replays is totally different than streaming live content.  It took me quite a while to figure it out.

1.  The internet provider kept sending someone over to my house to test my service.  Everytime they would say "wow your signal is incredible!"  Well of course it is.  It's 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday and my entire neighborhood is at work!  Come back Friday night at 8:00 p.m. and tell me how incredible it is.

2.  Once you actually prove that your service is great, now look into your wifi.  It doesn't matter if it tells you the signal is incredible---it may not be or it may be getting interrupted within your own house.  For example, I could not get a consistent signal on the TV that is 5 feet from my router/modem.  However, in my basement 30 feet away, no issues.  In my garage 50 feet away, no issues.   A friend of mine down the block, can pick my signal up in his basement better than he can pick his own wifi from upstairs in his own house!  So, for a while, I was hardwired right to my laptop.  I had absolutely zero issues with buffering on any program.  I used to have the worst time with NBC Sports Chicago watching Blackhawks games.  Nothing.

3.  By a shear stroke of luck, I switched internet providers due to cost.  I was nervous that I may have worse buffering issues, but was worth a try for the money.  Almost all of my buffering and wifi issues have improved although I still have occassional issues with live sports on my Roku.  I cannot stream Flo or DV on the Roku, but I am able to now get trouble free streaming of both on the laptop hard-wired to the TV.

Bottom line---if you get people saying they have no issues, and you're still having issues, it's something to work on from your end.  Will do you no good to contact DV or Flo as they have been putting out near flawless broadcasts.  Contact your internet provider.  Don't let them tell you your service is perfect.  Of course it is----they want to sell you internet service!

I have fiber optic, with their speed test my speed reads 300mb up and downloading. Using another internet speed test it reads about 150mb download 80 mb upload ? I have 3 pods throughout my house and according to the app they all have a excellent  signal. My desktop is wired directly to one of them. I also have issues with my cellphone streaming to both of my smart tv's or watching on my phone. I have had the provider here and of course they say my service is great.

My biggest problem with Flo is that one damn commerical they have thats so loud.  I think its a travel agency.

You find the perfect volumn to listen.  You walk to the kitchen to grab a beer between heat races then this massive noise screams at you.  Ten seconds later, your apartment neighbors are banging on the door pissed off you woke them up.

Whats up with that......

Thats a problem with Flo for sure but its ten times as bad over at DV, everyone who announces sprint cars over there is a screamer, they literally yell into the mic, yelling as loud as they can.  It gets old, I keep the mute button very very close....I have noticed the late model announcers at DV are almost normal???

It matters a LOT depending on how many items or things that are using your wifi.  We were gifted one of those Alexa boxes and we bought some wifi bulbs, and a pod so I could adjust the bulbs downstairs independantly from upstairs.  After just a couple days, we noticed that our streaming was awful slow.  I took all the new stuff, offline, and wow, what a difference.  We would need a faster modem/router in order to add these items back. I understand it to be that you may have great signal coming in, but what is leaving your router/modem is being used by well over 10 to 20 items and the signal is lessened to each.  Upgraded modem/router is prolly what is needed. Me too lol

I have been told this as well.  It did not solve my problems, but it may solve some.

Great point.  There's so much more to this than "I have the top internet package" and "my internet service is excellent!"  and "I can watch Netflix without any issues"

I have3 pods from my provder. There are 2 tv's my phone and a direct box that only streams if I have no satellite signal. I am watching Flo on 1 TV,  the wife is watching  satellite on the other. So not a lot of things using wifi. I dunno maybe because I'm in southern Alabama?

I am having issues right now speed is well over 100mb up and down.

yes, my buffering was terrible.  I have had several tech people from medicom.  I got several different things they said would help.  They all cost more.  I finally took one guys advise a bought a new computer.  Knock on wood, it has eliminated 95% of my buffering.

You would be surprised at the amount of items that use your wifi signal.  Every watch, any digital photo albums, ring cameras, security cameras.  Even the pods are using signals to share the signal with the rest of the house.  I bet if I sat and counted EVERYTHING that is capable of hooking to my wifi,I would be in the 25, 30 range
