Got a pretty cool NSL double dip coming up this weekend in Southeast Iowa with the Show-Me Region 360s running for $3K to win at Donnellson Friday and the 410s running at 34 Saturday.
Saw Sammy is supposed to be at Burlington Saturday - any idea if he will be in a 360 Friday at Donnellson? I know he ran AG Rains car last week in Missouri - wondering if that might be a possibility again. Would imagine some other 410 teams putting 360s in (Brown, Madsen, etc.).
Seems kind of weak that 34 is charging $35 for Saturday's show but it seems they've lost their general feel for pricing. Saw a poster that said $35 for the Invaders race last weekend and also charging $35 for the Slocum Memorial Race the next weekend. Donnellson is charging $15 for Friday's race, so they haven't went crazy it seems. Much more value there, plus I tend to prefer sprints at Donnellson over Burlington but will end up going to both.
Any surprise names dropping in for either show?

It was $17 to get in general for the Sprint Invaders at 34 this past Sunday. Which I thought was fine/right where it should be. I will agree with you though $35 for this Saturday is a little pricy but I will still be there. Donnellson NSL/Invader 360s for $15 is a heck of a deal if you ask me. I paid $25 to get in RCR as well this weekend and I wouldnt be surprised if the car counts and quality will be higher at Donnellson this Friday!
As for Donnellson having better racing than 34 raceway..... Nah. 34 is much better in so many aspects IMO from the banking, different entries and exists to the corners, no wall in 1-2 and a wall in 3-4, and better overall facilities not that that counts for racing quality. But thats fine that you like Donnellson better. Some think watching sprints on a half mile is boring and that wings suck but my favorite shows time and time again seem to happen at Knoxville.

Also I saw Madsen confirm via twitter he will be there. No doubt the dude and Brown will be there as well. I wouldnt be surprised if Sammy runs both as well. The Invaders follow their series well so probably 25-30 cars.

No doubt that 34 Raceway might be more interesting facility than Donnellson, but banking and an unique wall configuration does not equal better racing, per se. Each track has had its share of good races (and I've been witness to a lot of them,) but despite its lower profile I can recall more "great" races at Donnellson. The racing surface there is very, very consistent.
Anyways, $35 is an incredibly high price for any regional touring series event. But like you said, I'll still be there. Hope they don't check for flasks, might not have any money left after the gate!

I go to both tracks several times a year and Donnellson is a LOT more racey than Burlington, and it is not even close.

I'm willing to bet the combo of ridiculously high ticket prices and cool weather (high for the day not predicted to reach 50) will equal a small crowd at 34Raceway. Man, wife, 2 kids over 10 years old = $100 just for tickets!
NSL at Knoxville this year $15 for adults and 360 sprints & 305 sprints also. No mods.

If the intial price is too high and people dont come you cant sell them concessions that can be profitable.$35 is cheap to watch compared to racing but usually not as much fun.April races in Iowa are unpredictable and more times than not the weather is a factor.

Thats possible. The few sprint invader races I have seen at Donnellson have not been nearly as good though. They push the 1st turn tire so far out there is typically zero sliders going into 1 and 2. That being said I have seen so many more sprint shows at Burlington leaving a more lasting impression on me so I am biased. Looks like if you like Donnellson better your getting a better deal by going there too then! Hopefully the racing is good for everyones sake cause the weather isnt looking great.
On another note, I see Loyet saying on twitter he will be at Donnellson on Friday which was unexpected for me seeing his comments about Moberly the week before. The ASCS told him he would lose tow money if he went to that race but now he can go to Donnellson? Seems odd but I am sure theres some jumbled up rule behind it not being able to run another series within "x" amount of days or hours or miles of one of there events and get tow money.

Looks like BC will unfortutunately be running a midget in Indiana but did note that weather could change that.
Looks like a decent amount of rain in Burlington today and a decent chance for tomorrow. Supposed to be dry Friday/Saturday but will be cool. Something tells me 34 won't hesitate to pull the plug given the temperature forecast but we will see. Hopefully at least get one in!
