WOW Lanny never ceases to amaze me. He tells Bruce to pack up and leave just because he didn't pack the track..I heard he was keeping the car clean for Trophy Presentation...Also heard Lanny hit Bruces car with golf cart....These are Rumors I heard but they came from a reliable source.....

GOOD RIDENS! Does this guy think hes someone special? Thats the problem half the time with these tracks, special people get by, and don't follow the rules, and others are all over screaming about it! If he wants a clean car for a Trophy Presentation, then he should do what everyone else has done for years, and wipe it down or hire a kid for a buck to do it for you!!

how will Lawton benefit from that? last I checked........there isn't exactly cars coming to Lawton from all over the state. and there is a reason for that. it sucks. If Lanny hadn't ran all the other drivers off from there he wouldn't need every single car there to pack the track. Now with that being said........I agree that the driver shoulda got out there and done it. But if Lanny is in such a bind to get the track packed...........he should get his golf cart, 4 wheelers, and push trucks out there to do it too. He's in that bind because so many cars have done the smart thing.........they left. no sense in gettin screamed at and having your car tore up by such a crappy track all in a nights "fun".

That track is hurtin for cars so much where can he afford to boot someone for not packin the race track? A few months ago the common threat was if you don't mud pack then you can't hot lap. But from what I've seen they have even fewer cars now and have to get em all out there. I feel for the local Lawton Speedway fans. all of the guys that have left are not just going to come back. The # of cars will keep getting smaller and smaller. Really.......Lanny has already run that track into the ground. It's just not going to get any better as long as he is there. He had to add the super sprints to Winter Nationals just to have a shot at having more than 60 cars..........TOTAL. Take the SS out and its nothing more than a weekly show.

How many saturday night tracks are truly declining? there isn't many. Enid is a better show, Ardmore is a better show, BMS is a better show. When there are no more races down there at Lawton there's only gonna be one person to blame.

No it's not GOOD RIDANCE.......Bruce was in the right...................I don't even know him but I say he got screwed...............

Well, let's set the rumor right. The rule for 15 years that the 43 car has been at Lawton Speedway is the A feature winners don't pack the track or hot lap. Lanny makes new rules each week he's in attendance now, I guess. This didn't have a d--- thing to do with keeping the car clean nor favortism. Lanny came over to the pit cussed Bruce out for not packing and told him to get on the track, Bruce told him he won the feature the week before and the rule has been and Lanny says he's owned this track for 40 years and that has never been a rule and to get on the track. So Bruce get's in and is headed on the track and Lanny precedes to give another cussing out and hits the side of the car with his fist. So Bruce turned it around and we loaded up. The 43 car,driver, pit were not asked to leave we left because this track has gone to shit and as long as Lanny Edwards is the head a-- in charge were done. As for the other clean drivers (that are left) that attend this track my advice is not to go back and just show Lanny that track can't survive with his big fat check book if no drivers, fans and pit crew show because that's a big contribution to his check book each week.

sure would liked to have seen 43 put his fist upside lannys head ,or  even knock the toe outa that old golf cart ,but I do applaud 43 for loading and leaving, Lanny is a jerk (and I have told that to his face before )

I strongly suggest Mr. Delaney go race at BMS (meeker). I'm sure they have some lil problems like any race track................BUT................drivers at BMS are not subjected to such childish treatment and tantrums as they are at Lawton. Any of you drivers can go race at Meeker.........it may not be the best track.........but the promoter there appears to be pretty solid and your presence would be highly appreciated as well. They'd let you know it too. I know its kind of a long tow for a race team on a budget..........but local racing is hobby that eats up the wallet and rarely puts anything back. If one is to spend so much for their love of racing they should have the right to a great time while doing it........and be treated with respect by track personnel. It's unfortunate that Lawton has gone so much to crap...........but go race Meeker.........you'll have a ball...........

Bruce i hate to hear Lanny pulling that crap with you, your one of the easiest going guys at the track.. I enjoyed racing with ya, and good luck were ever you decided to race.

The car count was so horrible Sat and the Grandstands wasn't much better. I wish there was more than 1 nite left just to see who else don't show up. Bruce got screwed, He was doing what we have done at Lawton for quite some time, If ya win ya don't have to pack and thats what he thought. Lanny was already on the war path and just lookin for someone to cuss out. I can't believe he hasn't stroked the Hell out........Yet!!!!!!!!!!

This is the exact reason why I am not racing there anymore. The only reason my car was even out there sat night was to try to help a friend stay in the top 10. 10 mods out there sat was just a sign of things to come.

Bruce, let me or jason know if you want to go somewhere else. After next week he is not going back either. Damn points got him by the balls right now.

I have only been racing 1 year. Lawton is the closest track to race a modified, which is the poison I picked. Bruce Dulaney is one of the first guy's I met at the track. He is top notch. I have pitted with Bruce this year and felt it an honor the way he and his crew took me in. I can only hope that someday I will be 1/2 the driver Bruce is. I know I have made a few drivers mad with my wild driving and for that all I can say is I'm sorry. I am learing and I think I getting better but that is beside the point.

Lanny gets on the PA and cusses everybody. My wife won't go to the pits because of it. Can't take my youngest to the pits because of it. Probably should take my 2 oldest but there my pit crew. This was supposed to be a family thing that we were gunna do together. I got in a little misunderstanding 2 weeks ago and things got out of my control in a hurry. It was a very unfortunate sitution and I have worked it out with the indiviuals involved. However, the track barred me for two weeks and I was told someone would contact me to hear my side. This never happened and thats fine. But this deal with Bruce takes the cake. I won't be back as long as Lanny is running the show.

I want to thank all the drivers at Lawton who have been patient with me and offered assistance!

one thing that would be nice is if someone would build another track here in lawton to put lanny out of business.this is my first year racing and with the bad scoring and favoratism at the track its getting to where it isnt fun anymore

I still think if he continues his shenanigans Lanny should be taken OUT of the 2 Hall of Fames he is in. I hope someday soon he understands that it is not a matter of us all hating him or somthin........as paying fans or paying race teams everyone just wants a good show. Lawton is not a good show anymore and most reasons start and stop with him. MOST. I think every track has their favorites and makes bad calls.........I also think that will hurt local racing in the near and long-term future. But his attitude is "the icing on the cake".

Dutchman your driving ability isn't really the issue. Everyone has to start somewhere. But you could not have said it any better when speaking in terms of your youngins. That truly respectable the reason you got into racing. Many do it for the same reasons. But it doesn't matter what issues you've been involved with when it comes to Lanny's attitude. Everybody deserves the same respectful treatment. But this crap still continues on. And it is such a shame because the good people down in Lawton that are race fans are having to watch the death of their local track.

If he continues to run his tracks in the ground.........LANNY EDWARDS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE MIDGET AND SPRINT HALL OF FAME'S. Maybe then he could get the point. Because his camp reads thiss stuff and instead of actually paying attention to what is said.........they just look at who said it and whether or not they deem it as "negative".

But the whole HoF deal is a ways off. He's gonna have to do a few more years of his antics to run sfs and the bowl into the ground. So in the mean time I suggest he sit this years Chili Bowl out. There are many people who don't like Edwards or Emmet Hahn. But everybody has to agree......Emmet Hahn is a pretty good business man that puts on a good race show. His behind the scenes politics don't really hurt his races like Lanny's do. I mean maybe they do but we all go to ascs shows and we all leave satisfied. So that says something good for Mr. Hahn. Reason I'm grinding on this is this: what is Lanny's role in the Chili Bowl? I didn't see him do a damn thing but star gaze and ride his golf cart around last year. The golden state peeps that I get my Chili Bowl tickets from said they never seen him do anything either....................I bring this up for the upteenth time because if he didn;t have that big ass New Year's check (chili bowl)........then he would actually have to be a good promoter to make money off his local racing. If his local racing was all he had.........he literally could not afford to run his tracks in the fashion he does. And with that said.........things would either get better or he would have to cut his losses by selling and let someone else take a crack at it.

BTW David Smith I know I've mentioned this about a dozen times. But it's not out of talkim smack I'd like to know what all could be done to help the racing in this state........and more specifically Lawton.....and even more so maintaining the good shows we have here at sfs.

Quoted for truth. Lawton Speedway listen up, do these 3 things. Best of all these 3 things are FREE and will net you a larger car count and respect.

1. Plainly state the rules and abide by them no matter what.

2. Treat the teams fairly, talk to them like adults, show some respect for them and yourself.

3. Forget this Director of Competition BS, let the FLAGMAN run the race and make all the calls, his word is final.
