For those that don't understand what Hoax-slayer.com is ----- the commentary from the Marine e-mail.
Commentary: This email forward claims that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) objected to a group of Marines bowing their heads in prayer at a recent ceremony. Versions of the message have been circulating for several years. The email includes a photograph of Marines praying and asks concerned recipients to pass on the message in order to raise awareness of the actions of the ACLU.
However, research reveals that the ACLU did not make the comments attributed to it in the message and has no spokesperson named "Lucius Traveler".
The ACLU has no knowledge about the photograph of Marines praying that has circulated on the Internet. The ACLU has also never had a spokesperson -- quoted by news organizations as "Lucius Traveler" -- by this name.
Also, searches of the US Marine Corp website and a number of other sources reveal that there is no credible references to a "Colonel Jack Fessender" as being a spokesperson for the Commandant of the Corps.
Thus, the claims in the email are unfounded, and it should not be forwarded. Certainly, the ACLU may have policies about the observance of religion with which many people disagree. However, even if you strongly object to the policies of the ACLU, forwarding this sort of breathless nonsense about the organization will do nothing to further your cause.

SorryRussianCommunist...you, and several other frequent posters/card carrying members of the ACLU, make me laugh...to the point of peeing my pants.
I'll forward any/all negative nonsense I can about the ACLU if it will draw attention to their anti-American behavior.
Are you one of those precious few that refuse to stand/remove your cover during the playing of The Star Spangled Banner? Just remember how many lives were sacrificed to give you that right!
PS: This email is circa 2003 and was debunked in 2003/2004. It re-surfaced again in 2005, and since August 24 was the 40th anniversary of my life without Dad (he was a USMC aviator and gave his life 8/24/1967), I thought....well, this is better than some of the crap Duane posts...except for the monkey stuff.
Monkeys are funny!

No jackass... that commentary was posted from site as stated.
No love lost here with the ACLU, in fact ..... oh forget it...... I visit hoseheads for the sprint information, not your political views.

BTW.... src stands for Scott R Chilcutt.
Relax Scooter...although you may be on to something with the "jackass" observation. My poliitical views are all over the place...
Chilcutt is a rather unusual surname. Any relations in Birnie, Scotland? I knew a woman from Birnie with the last name Chilcutt and don't think I've ever met another (person, not just woman) with that last name since.

You do know this is yet another one of those hoax E-Mail chain letters.
Visit any number of the E-Mail debunking websites for some insight.
Forwarded Chain Letters are the same sewage as Spam, in fact I think they are worse (like all the Non Racing stuff Dust Head posts after some of us got the same E-Mail like 2 years ago).
I hate getting ones from family and friends and they think, "Oh my, this has to be real or look at this messed up kid..." Run it through Snopes or Hoax-Slayer and get the story straight before you become another of the "Sheeple" that thinks every E-Mail they get is worth sharing.
Just trying to help...
...oh yeah Mr. Know-it-All,
You're just jealous because you haven't been chosen by the family of a dead, formerly wealthy, Nigerian business man to help access and transfer millions of dollars...

What do we all do when we are sitting at the camp ground waiting for the race? Sit around drink beer and talk about all kinds of stuff. That nights race, upcoming races, race results, race history, politics and jokes. How is this place any different from sitting around and BSing with each other before a race like normal people?

Race fans that sit around bs'ing are normal people. All of us that spend our spare time on here between races are fanatics.
Touche' I come on here for results like the next person does. Keeps me up on racing coming to my area too. In between I see jokes and stories. Never bothered me to see anyone posting jokes and stuff. But I also have a sense of Humor about EVRYTHING

Maybe this post was intended to provoke thought, positive comment...way too much to expect for this forum.
You (and guys like you) crack me up! This great nation was founded by peoples seeking freedom from persecution from the Church of England, and religion used to play a part in all that was ours.
Take a moment to check in on the beloved American Civil Liberties Union, and see for yourself what it is they actually do.
We've removed prayer from school, we've tried to strike "In God We Trust" from monies, federal buildings... The separation of church and state was intended to prevent....well, Utah. For God's sake, the US Supreme Court is being petitioned to hear a case involving the offensive nature of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The next time you and your bleeding heart liberal pals want to post your mindless thought here, or any where else for that matter, take a few seconds to acknowledge the tens of thousands of brave souls who gave their lives so you could continue to do just that.
where in my post does it say i'm a liberal? where in my post does it say i support the aclu?
the post i was responding to said the aclu was moving to stop religion in the military. which is totally not true. the military encourages religion.
i used karl roves name to show that he is politizing the white house and spreading hate.
one other thing, people like you seem to forget is the U.S. Constitution was written to protect

the minority. the majority will get their way.
So then you're not a liberal, or an ACLU supporter?
What do you really know about Karl Rove, other than the gospel according to NPR?
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
I see nary a word one "written to protect the minority." That's what your affirmative action is for.
Wanna blow your mind...do a little demographic research on "minorities". You may be surprised at what you find here (USofA) and globally as to who the real "minorities" are.
And don't even start with your racist crapola...my wife is Mexican-American and I'm Armenian-American.
The military does in fact encourage religious belief, not a question. But does the ACLU???
