Tell me Duane, is Impreachment like impeachment? Or does it mean you want GW to deliver a sermon? Or perhaps you'd like Nancy Pelosi to deliver it? I'm cornfusticated.

Some may find it interesting that the day before John Kerry "conceded" the election......he was on the phone with legislators in Ohio about the voting problems (of which there were many) there. During that conversation he was discussing the fact that in New Mexico when the votes were put into the Dieboldt voting machines no matter what they came out for Bush. That had no real bearing in New Mexico as it was going to Bush anyway, but Ohio was using the same machine, and Ohio turned out to be the deciding state in that election. Kerry knew of voting fraud but yet conceded to not have a recount the next day. Makes you wonder how much he was paid for that? Same as you wonder how much all the news execs are paid to have their reporters not ask tough questions or not expose hundreds of lies Bush has told.

The Clinton scandal about draft dodging in Vietnam had more than 1,000 articles in major newspapers around the country. The Bush thing in the Texas Air Guard (which happens to be absolutely FULL of lies) had less than 100 articles. This notion that our media is liberal is about as ridiculous as Bush flying a fighter plane (instead of a helicopter) to a Carrier located 39 miles off the coast of San Diego.....then the "liberal" media positioning the cameras so the shoreline couldn't be seen and then.......Bush declaring the US has "won the war in Iraq" . The notion is also just as foolish as GW claiming he didn't know Kenneth Lay (ENRON) until 1995. Thats real funny considering Lay was giving GW campaign contributions in his bid for congress in 1979. O I'm not done yet. Lets speak of corporate criminals......shall we? I think we can all agree that ENRON was pretty screwed up. And I think we can all agree that Kenneth Lay should have been locked up for it. That being the case......when Bush was on the B.O.D for Harken Energy he did the same thing. Days before a quarterly report was to be published reporting HUGE losses that would ruin the company.....Bush (who also presided over the accounting department at that time) pulled 95% of his stock. Every employee who had vested interests in Harken lost all of it. But not our dear old president. Thats exactly the same thing Kenneth Lay did at ENRON. On a sidenote when Bush was investigated by the SEC for corporate fraud nothing ever happened although the case is still open this very day. Interesting enough Daddy Bush had a few friends in the SEC. Daddy also had a few friends in the Texas Air Guard as well. How does someone sitting 320th on the list just jump over the rest to get in? And then how does he show his gratitude to his father for daddy not making him fight for his country? He goes AWOL. Small wonder why this man will go down as the worst president in American history.

Yes this isn't exactly the place for politics, but these days politics is everywhere. Even in our sport...although to a lesser degree I imagine (and hope). No one should doubt these FACTS about our CEO....uh I mean President. Feel free to check em out for yourselves.....it's every citizens responsibility. The LAST thing that should be done is for any of you to do what our so-called "liberal media" (which conspicuously has drifted over the RIGHT FIELD GRANDSTANDS) has done. Which is not seek the truth, bury it instead, and then get your paycheck (wonder who it actually comes from these days) -----all so you can be in good favor for a few years with the new CEO of the white house and be invited to all those conservative supported press gatherings and award ceremonies. The question on the tip of mine and hopefully soon-to-be-yours is this: Why is our "liberal" media not telling us the truth?"

You know something is up when even conservatives agree that the White House Press Room should be painted yellow to match all the gutless reporters sitting in the room. But I suppose if your a reporter in the white house you live by this: be careful not to ask tough questions, because the Fox News Reporter-turned White House Press Secretary Tony Snow might call you partisan. And then you might not get those fat checks that you would have otherwise got if you had been what you were supposed to be.........another spine-less journalist.

I think I'm bored again (it is the off-season) and I have too much pent up racing energy. Think I'll head to the High Vista website for a minute or two.

Besides Bush getting out of office, the thing I look forward to most is seeing his pardon list before he does. I expect to see alot of big names on that list. Maybe even a few Arab/middle eastern people too. Should be an interesting pardon list indeed.

The country would be a lot better off if Geo. W. would go back to cheer leading like he did in college. At least he could stay the course with out a lot of young people dying. I don't like to bad mouth our president, but it is hard to think of one good thing he has done for our country. We need leadership in the worst way. No dust needs to have a good racing fix. He is starting to get ornery. see ya at the races.

BTW sorry for the rant everyone. No races at Oklahoma City on fri. nights is getting frightfully painful. But at least I'll have the Chili Bowl (my 1st).

The good news is we have the whole political machine in check for the next 2 years. The left cant get to far left and the right can't get 2 far to the right. What more could you ask for?

Bush has done a pretty good job with 9/11. I don't know which I admire more, that the warnings weren’t heeded ahead of time, the "My Pet Goat" reaction, or using it as an excuse for dragging the country into a bloody trillion dollar war in Iraq which seems to be only empowering our Middle Eastern enemies, especially Iran. I certainly hope he doesn’t get impeached however, I wouldn’t want him getting off that easy. Then again however, Clinton nearly got impeached for a blow job. Gotta love the far right.

It is ok..He holds most of his picture books that way. Makes everyone look like they are on there heads. and it makes the US debt look like it is way less upside down.

I know it's late, but I think it would be interesting to know this if anyone has any info, or feels like digging it up (I don't).

We all know that we're a society living on borrowed money. By using an average of what each family's cumulative debt is in the USA, compared to the national debt, is the country in more debt than...the country? What I'm saying is, do we as Americans have more or less personal debt than what our country's government has accumulated.

here is one chart with our debt since Ford.
http://www.lafn.org/politics/gvdc/Natl_Debt_Chart.html

Clock Counter
http://zfacts.com/p/461.html

The US government takes, in one way or another each year. US Govt Takes $17,430 (avg) from Every Working Person

Most debt reports are in the 8 Trillion range but I found a few places that say it is way more. Here is only one.

Ofocurse that 44 Trillion includes all Business and private debts. not just the USA debt.
By that number private and business debts make up around 36 trillion.

I would be interested to hear BRR chime in on the National debt being 5 trillion in 2000 and then in 6 years it goes to the high 8 trillion. A very high increase in only 6 years under one man? Getting close to being in over the 40% increase range.

From what I get most of the time the Government only owes other countries 3 trillion. The USA Government owes it's own avg. private person 5 trillion.
Makes you love your tax season when they want more money and they are the ones that are in debt to you for around $20,000 in reality. I wish it was as easy as getting your W-2 and then sending the IRS a Bill instead. Would be funny if you did not end up in prison. I mean I would settle for monthly payments. Make me sick to have to start paying off my 30,000 Student loans and they owe me some of that. Yeah, Yeah, I know alot of it is borrowed from our Social Security and other things like that but why do they need ot do that? It is still our money in reality and they are borrowing it without my permission. It is like my bank going out to Las Vegas with my money and letting it ride. Hate to go to the bank some day and ask for money and they tell me it is gone cause they invested it for me.

Makes me consider filing for Social Security at the age of 30 and seeing if they will give it to me. Anyway, enough of that rant.

By all right Jack ......keep it goin. This is the most shady nation in about the entire world. There are nations that are worse, but what makes us so bad is the SCALE of it all. And then most american idiots think that they are born better than .....say.....anyone else. Like how so many idiots think it's america's job to police the world. If one is president.......this only comes in on convenience. Whats convenience? How about invading 2 countries under false pretenses of bringing criminals to justice. Iy just so happens that both of those countries were LOADED with oil and natural gas. Our armed forces did NOTHING....NOTHING to restore any kind of normalcy in either country. Our first act wasn't getting water and sanitation up and runnin again......it was getting business contractors in to start contracting oil and what not to CEO Bush's friends. Small wonder those people are pissed. Most people here still think Iraq and Al-Qaeda are the same thing and were working with each other. These people should have their votes taken away from them. Here are 2 quotes from fairly smart men that I think hold very true today.

"Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government" Thomas Jefferson. I think that speaks volumes. yeah.

"Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve" George Bernard Shaw. That speaks for itself. Anyone is free to think anything they like. Thats a good thing about our country. Although Bush, NSA, the so-called liberal media (which now has now gone as far to the right as they can get.....I imagine the Right does pay better), and Homeland Security wage secret war on that daily. But 1 illusion everyone needs to see through is this country is far from great. WHether it's 1 person or an entire nation. Greatness has to be EARNED. You're not born into it. Well........unless you just happen to be George W. Bush. Whi never earned anything in his entire life. And whenever he screwed up......daddy was there to make sure he was ok. For valuble insight in to George W. Bush and our mainstream media---try reading this:

"FRAUD: the Strategy Behind the Bush Lies and Why the Media Didn't Tell You" by Paul Waldman.

It dwells deep into the background of our current president. This book was written before the Iraq war so it's not biased on that front. This book will open the reader's eyes to a lot of things the media will not tell you. Better yet: it offers a different perspective since there is no way you can get that from our media. Ok thats enough for this mornin. BTW Congrats to anyone who is open-minded enough to question your government. It's your civic responsibility to do so. Anyone who follows someone or something blindly is doing themselves and their country more harm than good.

OKC, I think me and you have fought before on some old points. Not this time. I think it is cause we are both young males in the USA. Old males want us to follow them and believe what they do or did. I don't and I follow my own. As I see you do most of the time. OKC, I really truly believe people like me and you are the kind of people who get along and yet still hate a few opinions of the other. That is what I believe in this nation. I want to hate who I want to hate and love who I want to love.

Since I have been a 'wee' race fan I felt some sway to like the Kinser's,,,, but I was a Haud KID!!!!

I can say anytime me and you disagree and I give you carp just quote me that Thomas Jefferson line, "Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government".....!!!

And it is our government and should always be.
