If you have ever had any doubt that the driver of a non winged car can carry a average car  in a way winged drivers only dream about, well JJ Yeley did it tonight! Tom Lee who owns the #53 that JJ drove at Vegas is unquestionably what we commonly call a owner/driver who shows up and races for the love of it. "The heart and soul" of our sport. Though Tom who lives up here in Prescott may have a hard time making the show at some of the bigger races, he never complains or quits. A true racer in every respect.

Here's to JJ for a great run and to Tom for being Tom, a great guy and a big asset to our sport...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOOeYqVP9Wc

It was very cool to see JJ putting everything he had into that run.  Heck, it was just great to see JJ Yeley driving a sprint car!  But the Tom Lee back-story makes it even more special.

Thanks for sharing, Kenny.  You summed it up well...except the whole wing versus non-wing thing of course...we know you don't really think that.  Most of the Arizona heroes did both, which is what made them so good.

I think exactly what I said about a good driver being able to carry a non winged car like you can't the winged cars of today and that has nothing to do with the fact that some of the CRA and AZ boy's jump into a winged car now and then.
