OCRS MANUFACTURES PERFORMANCE RANKINGS
“Running Towards The Finish Line”

Tulsa Oklahoma (September 5, 2013) – The Oil Capital Racing Series is nearing the finish line as there are but four events left on the 2013 schedule beginning with round #19 this Saturday night at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola Oklahoma. Those who have been following these performance rankings know all to well how tight the battles have been for the top spots. After last weeks round where Fred Mattox broke through with his first career OCRS victory, the race to the top of the mountain is in full intense mode.

For the past five weeks now, XXX chassis has been sitting in the third position of the “Chassis Manufactures” rankings as Maxim and Eagle Motorsports have been going at it for the top spot. With Mattox’s win in his XXX, a bit of a shake up has taken place. Maxim, thanks to a solid second place run last week by Harli White, has broken the tie at the top they held with Eagle in last week’s rankings. Maxim has captured the chassis manufactures points lead to themselves with 51 points. The Mattox victory has now moved XXX into the second spot with 49 points and after those five weeks of sitting in the third spot, XXX is now threatening to take the points lead. Not to be displaced, Eagle Motorsports is still right there with their 47 points. Game On!

In the engine builder rankings, It’s still the East vs. West as Boyd Racing Engines and Dyno Services of Oklahoma (DSO) are the gunners running for the number one spot. White’s second place charge last week did give Boyd a four point lead in this weeks rankings over DSO verses the two point spread it was last week. With five points up for grabs to the winning car and very much like the chassis builders, this is race to close to call as both categories may very well go down to the final event. Mattox builds their own engines and their victory placed them in on the points chart for the first time this season.
