What happened to the rule with outlaws? why not at knoxville nationals ?

Because it's an idiot rule that was copied off napcar. Just leads to crashes, too much on the line at Knoxville.

It is a show up points only for the Outlaws. So it is a sanction in name only. No effect on WoO points race. The agreement has long been WoO can sanction the show but Knoxville sets the rules.

Knoxville does NOT need the Nats to be sanctioned by the WoO.
Knoxville calls the shots at the Nationals and always will.
Besides, double file restarts are nothing more than a retarded way to tear up equipment and cause another caution.

The King's Royal is very similar. They run Eldora's format and give show-up points only for the WoO guys, even though it's a WoO sanctioned race. The difference being they still ran double-file restarts at the KR.
Think about it though...if they ran a WoO format for the Knoxville Nationals, how much would fans complain about it (at least on here)? The Hosers generally don't care for the WoO format, and using ti for the biggest race of the year would really set them off!

If the Knoxville Nationals was run by the WoO using their normal format there would be NO reason for anyone to travel across the country to see just another WoO show.

sprint cars were startin double file long before nascar ever thought of it. outlaws started going single file because they wanted to be different than the weekly shows.
to indy and beyond!!

I love double file restarts. The cone and single file restarts suck. If your going to do a single file restart atleast get rid of the goofy orange cone, and let the guys race.
