The racing incident cost him some money.

The road rage/temper tantrum cost him much more money.

IMHO

But the main thing is Jason lost none of that money or points from the spin out, whether that was Netto's fault or not, Jason lost that money and points with his decision to retaliate, which consequently got him DQ'd and therefore he was not able to take a provisional and transfer and pick up his starting spot money for the A and at least last place points. As far as saying well then he would have had 1 less provisional, thats why you have them, these guys don't ever want to have to use them.

Jason stepped on his own dick here with his actions. If he hadn't done what he did and just pulled a provisional and went into the A main and started a row or 2 further back then he would have been anyways, this would be a complete non-story, instead its a few guys trying to grasp at straws on here as to why they just can't let go of the belief that this wasn't Jason's own fault in the end.

I'm sorry but I've never seen a 13 or 14 year old race a 410 sprint car with the World of Outlaws, maybe its happened but I'm doubtful. There are a ton of examples though of 17 year olds that have raced on and off with the Outlaws over the years, Donny Schatz is a good example, he started when he was 16, I don't think it was till he was 18 that he went full-time but still, 1 year older than this Netto kid and he ran the whole schedule and don't think that he jumped in the car and lit the world on fire, there was lots of stuff wrecked and alot of learning. These types of incidents happen all the time, almost every race one guy is mad at another, your just pulling age into this because the guy it happened with this time was 17 and out of somewhere financials which I have no idea what that has to do with the incident.

As far as the few people who's main point is "Kick his Ass!" If you want to see a fight watch the NHL or UFC. If the only argument you have to prove that Jason was right is "He should have kicked his ass" you have a pretty weak argument and should probably just keep it to yourself.

Jeff Gordon was running a 410 sprinter with the Outlaws some at age 13...FYI

I didn't know that, Thanks.

And to think, if he'd have taken out Jason Sides he would have probably not went on to do any of the stuff he has done. Smile

Actually, saw him destroy his car and a couple others at Knoxville during the nationals and got fired on the spot. Things seem to have worked out for the boy alright since....

Starting Money for the main was $700. Lost points for the championship which equals more money. Yes he could of used a provisional, but than he would not have that provisional at a later date when he did not make the main. So yes, when Netto spun Sides out of a transfer spot when both drivers would of made the main, IT DID COST Sides in the pocket book. What Sides did to Netto was not good, but I believe his intention was for Netto to stop, and not make the main. It didn't work out that way, just like it didn't work out when Netto hit Sides rear bumper in the corner wink

Never never use your car as a weapon under the caution, especially in front of everyone to see.
