Winters got the jump on Peters at the start and led the entire way usually on the cushion with Dobmeier right behind him, those 2 pulled away from the rest of the field. Winters drove a flawless race through traffic to hang on for the win. Alley had a tough night with engine problems in hot laps, changing it and then more engine woes in the heat.
