My grandson wants a Zemco Leppo CD for Christmas, but the store's seems to be out of them because I can't find em anywhere.

I didn't expect him to get the ride, Zemco and Leppo's schedule don't quite fit together and there are bigger names out there that are available in todays economy. That said, the best showing the Zemco ride had last year was the day he drove it, he immediately got in the 51 and had results, and he did still win a race in the 17, along with 17 others in PA in his career. I don't think anybody is comparing him to Lasoski, but way overrated? Compared with who locally? He was the only car that could push the 15 at the National Open; that race is on dirtstation.com now if anybody would like to see the reality that was the final 12 laps of the National Open, Schatz's fastest lap was an 18.66 on lap 27, Leppo's was a 18.72 on lap 28...I'd hardly call that "pulling away" in clean air.

Would you care to share how Leppo is over rated? Id say he is one of the most under rated drivers. If you give him the equipment to compete by god he will compete, and surprise everyone. Noone would have expected him to put the Zemco car in victory lane, or do as well as he did in the 51 car. The guy was thru tough shit last year. For you to call him over rated is assanine and you clearly do not pay attention to central pa racing. I do believe you will see Leppo in a full time ride this year and hopefully the 27

Yea you have a point, Leppo has had some good runs!!! that being said, he has had alot more bad runs than good runs!!!One night at the Grove, I saw him start on the pole in the heat race, have contact on his way to the back!!! Than spin the car out on the restart, took it to the pits, and never qaulified that night!!! In the 17 Keen car!!!!

For every win Leppo has he has 25 bad nights!!!

Well Dickbone..how many wins did you have last year?

And I mean wins on the RACE TRACK, not in your seat on Beer Hill throwing back a cold one and acting like you know something!

Leppo has won more races than anyone posting on this thread. Good luck to Brian in 2013. Hope he gets a quality ride.

Still splitting hairs over Leppo, lots of things said pro and con but Hambone has it nailed 25 bads to one good, just because he jumped in a good car for a race or two doesn't cut it with me. I had several more lines written but just deleted them, let some of these keyboard jockeys go hang around the car he might drive and pay close attention then you'll be able to answer that little question about him and racing, pay attention you'll see.

I'm going to agree and say he is definitely hit and miss. But when he is on, he is one of the best in PA and he has proved that.

He's a good driver and proved he can get it done at W Grove, Lincoln and some other PA tracks. If Zemco had a local schedule he'd be a great candidate but it doesn't.

Leppo is a good driver when the car is right!!! The fact that he is not a top five finisher every night is the very reason he has no full time ride!! Leppo is one of the guys whom used the Central Pa handicaping system to his advantage!! If he started up front, he had a chance to win!! If he started 10th or farther back, he was not a factor in the " A" main!!

Leppo runs good at time trial shows. Always has. Laposski gives them the best shot to bring a Knoxville Nationals trophy back to PA. New tire rule will also favor the Dude.

Now you are wrong. When Brian ran full time at either Lincoln or Williams Grove he was always hovering in the top 5 in points, (won the williams grove diamond series points a few years ago) which sure as hell doesn't put you at the front in a handicap show. He DOES take advantage of the time trial shows where you start up front based on your performance throughout the night before the feature. His weakness is back in traffic for sure and I don't think his head is always on straight when the car isn't right, but in those cases he doesn't tear up cars like a lot of other guys do in that situation. As for your watchful eye in the pits, well who gives a shit? You don't have a seat to offer, and the people that do, the Stewarts, Swopes, Heffners, Zemaitis's, Clemens, and Keens of the world, clearly disagree with your viewpoint.
