As I sat and watched the races last night ,I realized what a poor job Scott did announcing this race and many others for that matter. It amazes me every week for Scott to give us the driver name and number before they ever get on the track ,than when cars are pushed off its a number bv the rows. and thats it . It was very difficult last night to match driver and car. give us a run down when the cars are out on the track. The first semi, had 2 red flags ,and a caution before he even told us a line up !! during the main it was the restart on lap 78 that he gave us a rundown of the top 10 !!

While I support everyone having a right to an opinion, mine certainly differs. I consider Scott one of the best announcers I have ever heard and his Turkey Night work was up to that standard. If fans heard some of the idiots passing themselves off as announcers that I have endured, they would certainly realize was an excellent announcer Scott is every time he works.

+1. I had a earpiece in one ear with the FM radio Chanel and not only did I hear Scott working hard I also heard his crew in the background trying to help and keep up with all the action . And with alot of the cars looking the same in paint schemes and a small letter on the tail tank after a number . I think they did a great job so Ty Scott and your crew . That had to be hard to keep up with . I had also printed car numbers and drivers off the web where Scott had posted a list .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Well i am glad you knew who where in what car,All i want is a lineup, and we didnt have that I don't care what you say that was a poor job !During sprint car races Scott has some type of age obsession, one night he announced that Rip Williams was 56 years old 17 TIMES !! But he cant give us a driver linup when the cars are pacing around.

Several things going on here. Scott has an advantage when announcing the sprint cars in that he is familiar with the cars, drivers and owners. The USAC Midgets are another matter. He had about 60 cars to keep track of. If you look at the list that was posted the other day, the entries listed in the program and what actually was going on all differed. I have no idea what he was working from, but I am sure it thrown together rather quickly. We had multiple cars with the same numbers that were virtual twins. Their were driver car switches. One last thing is that he has a network of people he usually works with on the regular shows. This network was absent because they were probably in the stands or at home with their family.

I apologize to anyone who thought I did a poor job last night or any night for that matter. That includes Mr. Wolsky (aka pacecar). However, when I apologize to Pacecar (Mr. Wolsky), I do so with a grain of salt and I do not take any of the complaints/rants issued by him very seriously as he has posted on this board with gripes about me and others over the years. With ridiculous comments like, "one night he announced that Rip Williams was 56 years old 17 TIMES!!," and other like vents over the years (including trashing Cory's school while hiding behind a screen name, but never complaining to Cory personally, PAS advertising and on and on) I just have to roll my eyes when I read them. Likewise, a lady (I am assuming his wife as she has the same last name) posted comments just like his above on our Facebook page today. Obviously, there is some kind of vendetta. More power to them to post what they want as that is their prerogotive. It is just hard to take it seriously as some people are not happy in life unless they are complaining.

obviously Scott you have taken my complaints the wrong way! Maybe you should take them with a grain of salt, you do a great job other than the fact that you give a driver and car linup when they are still in the work area / push off area.why cant you do it again when they are pacing around??? That way we can match a driver to the car,Have an open mind and think about it.....And yes my name is Glen Wolsky and you will find NO BIGGER supporter of Perris than me! Yes i have vented on here about advertising out here in the Hemet area. There is alot of people out here east of Perris that dont know whats going on out there.I love Perris and tell as many people and bring as many as i can to the races .Don Kazarian has helped me out , I can not express on here how great a guy Don is, Don gave me probably 150 yards of Perris clay for my Indoor Radio Control Race Track,WHY would i have some vandetta against this track ??Yes I have a race track and though on a MUCH smaller scale than Perris i listen to people complaining and take sugestions all the time, and have an open mind on how to make things better. The Cory thing YUP! my wife gave me the school for a birthday gift several years ago , brushed the wall , scuffed up and slight bend in bead lock ring ,when done my 40 laps cost me a little over $1100....The Rip Williams age thing i dont get it ... And yes i signed on under my wife last night on facebook to try to reach you,I myself dont have a facebook but my bussiness does. I should have done it under my business facebook check it out Scott Airland-indoor raceway, scroll under my mobile uploads and you will see my Perris Auto Speedway banner that i have hanging in my track .

Glen, the vendetta thing is not with The PAS, it is with me. It has been going on for years over a variety of topics. That is your prerogotive to do so and more power to you. Just have had enough of it and responded. You have complaints and others do, too. Like you said, you hear complaints and take suggestions all the time. Me, too. People E-mail me, contact me privately through this board, see me at the track etc. However, the only time I ever hear it from you or see it about others from you is when you come out with both guns blazing, humiliating someone on a public message board. Never a personal E-mail, a private contact through the board or never face to face from you. Just like the Cory deal, he had no idea who was hiding behind the screen name when you blasted him. Earlier today, I respond in the same context as you have addressed me on here for years and it seems like I hit a nerve as you did with me. It is a two way street. The Rip deal? Here is a 56-year-old man who is competing with and beating kids who are young enough to be his grand kids. It is an amazing story and there are only a handful sprint car drivers around the country doing the same thing. It warrants the attention brought, but never once was it said 17 times in one night.

No question - Scott is consistently one of the best announcers anywhere. Scott's efforts make my job and the jobs of our camera guys much easier. It's been a pleasure to listen him over the years and work with him the last 3 seasons.

This Wolsky character sure come across a very bitter individual. Very childish too. But then again he does like to play with toys. Kind of sad in a pathetic sort of way.

Man this is the first time I have heard that the speaker system at the PAS was not working, I know you are not talking about the announcer because I watched it on the Internet and always knew who was in what car and where they lined up. So it must have been a glitch in the speaker system that you did not know who was in what car. Let me help you out, when the cars go out to wheel pack Scoot always tells you who is in what car, then after hot laps he tells you who is there by the number and then what the line up is for each race. Maybe Mr. Karzarian should have that sound system checked out because I knew the qualifers, the two semi line ups and the main line up before they were ever pushed off. Or maybe you have an axe to grind, I have been to alot of races and Scott is one of the best if not the best there is.

Hey Scott. I have a complaint...

I can't hear the announcing from the infield while the race is running, how in the world am I supposed to know who I am taking pictures of. If only there were driver lists posted somewhere on the internet, or written down say in a magazine format...

its funny you mention something written down in a magazine format , i borrowed something like it just last night from my neighbor in the stands when ever i had a question concerning who was in what car ! it was well written ,and very informative , still cant figure out where they got it .. as for the announcing , well let see , this was only the 2nd time i have been in the stands in 10 years ,but i think the announcing was as good as it could be . scott has always done a great job , he does his homework and if this was school , scott would be a strait A student !! keep up the great work , scott and all at the pas .its great to have the gran prix back on dirt , and at our home track . we all need to tell everyone how great this race was , and do everything we can to make sure the stands are packed next year ! because this race was on pavement for way too long , a lot of people have forgotten how great this race really is when it is where it belongs , on dirt !

You're dumb. Scott is the best in the business, everyone knows that. I don't know Scott, in fact never met the man; but So Cal and the PAS are very luck to have him. You really notice how good he is when you visit different tracks. That was a silly post...
