Well, I'll comment that I couldn't hear the qualifying or most of the lineups, but that I don't believe that Scott is to blame. Those midgets are WAY louder than the sprint cars in my opinion. That noise made it harder to hear the announcer. During a regular sprint car feature, while you can't hear every word Scott says, you can hear much of it. I couldn't hear a word during any of the events, especially the main. Even the qualifying was hard to hear because of the noise. Scott is indeed one one of the best announcers in the country. Harryfan's earlier post regarding the multiple cars with the same number and paint scheme, etc was spot-on.

Never mind, he has a few downfalls, (I hate it when he shows up after eye surgery and can call off the driver stats from memory) but since there's nobody better, I think were stuck with Scott for a few more years. Thank YOU to everyone that supported the USAC-CRA series this year, we will have another Hall of Fame race next year, some nice items will be up for auction with all the $$ going towards the purse.

Rob, I think that Pat Brady from the Roy Rogers TV show actually used "Whoa Nellie" before Dick Lane. Nellie Belle was the name that Pat gave to the Jeep that he drove in the show.

It was a wonder that Dick Lane could see anything at all through those Coke bottle bottom glasses he wore. He isn't pretty enough to be on TV now. He may not of been a major talent but he knew how to deliver the goods.

Well....I feel Perris is a 1st rate facility...great track prep..thought the announcing was great as usual... Overall an awsome Turkey night. One thing though...the "On track announcer" Pit reporter...whatever their calling this lady.....god...shes terrible. She sounds nervous, its painfully obvious she knows nothing about the anatomy of a Sprint Car. We brought someone who had never even been to a race before and even he noticed it..... I know im going to get a lot of flack over thus one but....its true... You got 2 professionals like Cris Holt and Scott Delosio...a great facility..best fans...greatest drivers...you got it all then you got an uninformed...seemingly unprepared. ..not very knowledgeable, nervous sounding woman reporting on the status of an accident. .. Dont get it...not at all....

it would be hard to believe that someone that is at every race doing pit reporting at the pas would not know what they were talking about !! everyone at the pas knows how to do their job very well . the pas does not have anyone that is terrible , they are all first class ..mrs everhart does a great job , she pays close attention to whats going on in the pits and on the track , and her reporting is good .

I Think Ronnie is funny , I Glen Wolsky know what she is gonna say every time, Bent Radius rods ,Bent Axle ,Drag Link .About Scott Announcing, after watching the high light video, I heard almost none of it Example the restart after the 1st caution for Chad Boats flat,Scott gives linup as they take green flag , the cars are so loud no one could hear it,What frustrated me was listening to music when we might have been able to hear him give the line up . watching the video Scott did good , just that everybody in stands couldn't hear him.

As I sat and watched the races last night ,I realized what a poor job Scott did announcing this race and many others for that matter. It amazes me every week for Scott to give us the driver name and number before they ever get on the track ,than when cars are pushed off its a number bv the rows. and thats it . It was very difficult last night to match driver and car. give us a run down when the cars are out on the track. The first semi, had 2 red flags ,and a caution before he even told us a line up !! during the main it was the restart on lap 78 that he gave us a rundown of the top 10 !!

All i want to know is why he can't say Shane Golobic's name right.....he has been told how to pronouce it several times over the years and STILL gets it wrong.....all of the other announcers in Calif have no problem with it ....only him.....it is really not that hard......
