I just want to comment about how Tyler Walker talks, the language. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, you grow up FAST in a city like that and learn all the bad language very early on. I was born and raised in San Jose and it was the same for me and I can have a foul mouth as well, its not about being mature or not its simply about where you grew up... When you grow up in a big city and especially crazy california its part of the culture here.. Tyler had a right to be very pissed off for being black flagged over something so stupid as running over a cone because he was avoiding someones mistake in front of him... If you are offended by the f word it shows how narrow minded you are and that you grew up in a box. Again, if you didnt grow up in a big city and especially california you just dont understand. Also, the drugs is another thing, growing up in the LA area its IMPOSSIBLE to get away from drugs. So what if he has done them a little here and there, pretty much everyone at the races gets drunk off their ass, is that any better? no. I doubt tyler has ever raced high. But anyway, he is a good guy if you look past the rough exterior (language and dreadlocks). Give him a break. actions speak louder than words.

There's foul language and drugs pretty much everywhere, not just in big cities and not just in "crazy california". That doesn't justify anything. It's not a matter of where you're from. It's a matter of bad temper and lack of maturity.

Just another reason why he will always have a ride somewhere...When you're fast, you get rides. Racing is not a popularity contest, Sammy proved that decades ago.

KevinCal.....come on!! Do you really want us to believe that everyone raised in LA and San Jose talks like that in public?? What a lame excuse!!! Trust me, not everyone raised in LA has been or are on drugs and shout that kind of language at the grandstands full of women and small children. Shows his mentality!!!! I'll be the first to admit, he can flat wheel a sprint car, but myself I wouldn't hire him if I had to leave my car sitting for the season. How many chances does someone like him get??? Sells tickets, that is a bunch of crap.

so all you people talking crap about my post, list where you were born and raised. We are all a product of the environment we grew up in. I was raised in a ghetto ass neighborhood and everyone was using curse words at a young age. AGAIN, for you clueless people almost all kids born and raised in big cities in the last 30 years have had to deal with all kinds of drugs and bad influences around them all the time. Humans are monkey see monkey do. typical person in backwoods smalltown pa doesnt know shit about growing up in a big city.
basically I am white and a lot of you white people that grew up in almost all white environment just dont understand whats its like to come up in a place with all kinds of different races cultures language etc. you just dont know so dont act like you do and dont try to put my opinion down like its not valid. I feel lucky to have lived in a wild environment it taught me a lot about life something most white people born and raised in almost 100% white area usa will never understand, too bad. again I call out anyone offended by some curse words a total SQUARE and hipocrite cus sprint car races theres always a lot of tension arguments and fights, its part of sprint car racing. dont tell me otherwise.
Tyler had every right to act the way he did I fully support him. To hell with anyone who thinks otherwise. I will say it again actions speak louder than words and the track officials actions were totally out of line while Tylers words in his own defense were not out of line at all. You are just a jackass if you think otherwise.

What, you think we're all a bunch of hicks on here? My family left Penn in the 1700, and Indiana in 48 shortly after I was born and headed for another hot bed of racing at that time, Torrance.
big cities in the last 30 years have had to deal with all kinds of drugs and bad influences around them all the time.
"Deal with" are the key words here, and I'm thinking you still have some dealing to do.
Frankly I preferred the cool and calm way the Kurt Bush said he'd like to kick that reporters butt..LOL No yelling at all, just stating a fact.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Tyler ran a heckuva race at Port. I was hoping for Stevie to win his second in a row, but give credit where it's due. Tyler deserved to win that race and runs Port Royal with no fear whatsoever!! Regardless if you like him or not, he is exciting to watch!!!

If I decided to foregoe my 401K and field a sprint car, would I hire TW to drive it at this point knowing what I know? Likely not. Do I wish him failure as the masses who unite against him because of his past choices and actions? No. I have the utmost respect for people who get up at 7am, work all day Saturday in the heat, leave for the track at 3pm to get there and work in the heat unloading and getting ready to put on a show for us and stay up until 1-2am. Then start the whole process over all week heading toward the next Saturday. I a sure he lost plenty of sleep in the past over his actions but he is what he is and he and us have to live with it. He could be slinking along in a low-rider selling your kids drugs and abusing our daughters. I have a feeling he will have learned a little from the episode finding out it made YouTube and seeing himslef. No more humbling event than a video of yourself loosing it and looking a bit foolish. I hope him good luck and to learn and grow from it. Heck, I know I did even.

Hey Cal Dude, if you think Tyler grew up in the 'hood' you're off your rocker, lol. I've been to 7/8 different tracks in Cal and have met many drivers, none of which grew up to my knowledge in such a way. Your analogy is miles off base, almost comical. Keep being a fan, Tyler is a great guy and easily one of the most exciting drivers in the sport today, I hope he wins many more races!

There is no justification for the kind of behavior Tyler exhibited and it's discouraging to think that the question is even up for debate. I was born into a modest home, have worked in a multicultural environment for 30 years and was introduced to dirt track racing well before the age of 10, yet I still recognize that vulgarity is out of place everywhere.
"I'd pay $15 to watch a sprint car sit still."
