Oh yes... as long as you are capable of winning, then it's ok to grab your crotch and call everyone in the pits a mothafu@@er...
Just imagine... if all drivers were Tyler like, I mean arrogant and disrespectful, we could elevate sprint car racing to a new level of recognition! Give me a freaking break...
Hawker,
Comparing Tyler to Sammy is a big stretch!

let's see here. the dud beating up on his relatives at knoxville, that is respectable?
take up golf!!!
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Who said anything about Lasoski?
To your point though, I didn't like the Lasoski fight either.
Btw, your "take up golf" comment is unfair. You don't have to enjoy "crotch grabbing" to appreciate sprint car racing.

You're right, him and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kyle Petty too.

Humble pie got served... Well done TW. He avenged his actions with action. No one ever said we love this sport because of the golf clapping. I bet those car owners just had a week af emotional highs & lows that were lifetime records. That is living. You want something more level headed, join a book club....
|
So winning a race justifies all his bad behavior, disgracing the sport and being childish?

Tyler is one of the best and it is a shame that he threw away his NASCAR career.I guess I might be a little too old to accept his behavior.Whether he is cheered or booed he will sell tickets as it is somewhat like the WWF there seems to be a place for bad boys. The X-rated language is all over from rappers to movies to sports so its not like it shocks anyone, just shows lack of maturity. What a better way to show his ability than to win and actually his interview after the race was that of a racer who likes to win and he did accept some responsibility for his previous actions.

Here's the kicker. I found this on Another Board.
"Say what you want about T-Dub, but he can wheel'um with the best of them. But what I thought was ironic, everyone was all over him after his tirade/cursing as he walked down pit road Thursday night, rightfully so...yet the majority of the fans at Port last night that lined the fence and stood on top of the bathroom roof as Dub came to victory lane yelled and cursed at him, the same if not worse than he did on Thursday night, even with a lot of small children standing near or beside them....couldn't help but laugh to myself....what a country we live in.... I was going to tell them to look up hypocrite in the dictonary but figured I didn't have time to explain what that was...."

I just want to comment about how Tyler Walker talks, the language. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, you grow up FAST in a city like that and learn all the bad language very early on. I was born and raised in San Jose and it was the same for me and I can have a foul mouth as well, its not about being mature or not its simply about where you grew up... When you grow up in a big city and especially crazy california its part of the culture here.. Tyler had a right to be very pissed off for being black flagged over something so stupid as running over a cone because he was avoiding someones mistake in front of him... If you are offended by the f word it shows how narrow minded you are and that you grew up in a box. Again, if you didnt grow up in a big city and especially california you just dont understand. Also, the drugs is another thing, growing up in the LA area its IMPOSSIBLE to get away from drugs. So what if he has done them a little here and there, pretty much everyone at the races gets drunk off their ass, is that any better? no. I doubt tyler has ever raced high. But anyway, he is a good guy if you look past the rough exterior (language and dreadlocks). Give him a break. actions speak louder than words.

That'a absurd, there is no way that everyone in Cali, LA, etc talks like that, or doe's drugs. Where in the hell do you hang out, Santa Monica Blvd?
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Quick question here. Is WFO81 the same clown that Mr. Darrah gave the knuckle sandwich too? I don't keep up with the hide and seek nicknames that pussies use instead of their real name. If not, then my bad, just another jealous moron.....

I don't know where I would even begin to write a rebuttal to this post!!! Maybe I should just say the parts i agree with?
1. Tyler did have the right to be upset (he went way overboard though).
2. And I agree actions speak louder than words (crotch grabbing, double barrel birds, etc)
I just hope he can figure things out, and get over the drama.... the guy is fun to watch race.

In any case. I feel this and many forums are pretty hard on Tyler. I cringe at his actions but I also believe in time healing wounds, people having a chance to grow up, etc. Has he had a spotless career? No. Has the family and even children of the people that are so hard on him? Bet not. This old world is digressing, plain and simple. Watch the shows they feed youth constantly. They are filled with drama and mostly in the form of confrontation and yelling. Youth these days see that as examples and we have to expect a few to turn out that way. Sprint car drivers have the option to have intensity too. Hell I have to work with it day in and out with younger guys in a professional environment and it is becoming more of the norm and that is not a dirt track with beers and "ya- alls" flowing heavy.
