Here's what quinny93 had to say about it on the ABCMOTORSPORTS forum.
"Cocopah was a great place to stay, in addition to Jerry's comments, pool was open 24 hours, drinks were cheap, $1.00 bottle beer, $3.00 mixed drinks.....food was good".
And Jerry55 said.."The Cocopah Resort was good. Rooms modern and clean. It is a no smoking motel at but somebody was smoking in the stairway....(: Breakfast Buffet for $8.00 was really good. Lunch... hamburgers okay... Charlie Davis ate all of his... but fish and chips... well I have had better."
The only drawback's might be that I just reserved a room there, or if Jerry catches you smoking on the stairwell.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

You have to remember Bruce, I spent a lot of years supporting CRA/SCRA both in Cali when I lived there, and here in AZ as well, and they will always be the A team on the left side. The only bad thing about this deal is that AZ doesn't have some hot shoes in some 410's to protect the borders as they always have in the past. If you look back at CRA history you'll find that AZ and the CRA have been joined at the hip from the start, and CRA's history is much better for it as is Arizona's. In other words, CRA's history is my Sprint car history for the most part, and it don't get much better than that.

Ha, the last time I was there for a race was in 92 for the very memorable rainout show, and I stayed in some cheap motel that Saturday night with the wife and kids to stay over for the Sunday show. Who knows, that could be the same joint.LOL
