Pretty big wreck during the ARCA race on 5/4/12, motor and transmission are just hanging out of the car, guy walks away though.
Sidenote: Kevin Swindell started 14th Pos. and finished with an 11th place in the Curb Records 55 car in a 43 car field.

We have a AZ driver who ran mostly with the USAC Midgets that's doing more than a little OK with the doorbangers. In fact he's won 3 out of his first 6 races with ARCA. If he hadn't have been caught up in the big one yesterday there's no doubt he would have been up front.... Another case of a non wing USAC boy making good.
TALLADEGA, Ala. - May 4, 2012) - With only one practice session to consider when choosing a contender in a previously rainy week at Talladega Superspeedway, Alex Bowman seems like one favorite for today's International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250.
The 18-year-old Tucson, Ariz. native led this morning's 55-minute practice session, the only on-track activity before today's fourth race of the season for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. His lap of 51.391 seconds (186.336 mph) topped April open test leader Will Kimmel, Chris Buescher, Brett Hudson, and 2001 Talladega winner Bobby Gerhart.
Bowman drove 16 laps in the session. He won last week at the 0.555-mile Salem Speedway in Indiana, his third ARCA Racing Series win in five career starts..http://www.alexbowmanracing.com/Alex_Bowman/Welcome.html

It was quite a crash it doesn't take too much of a tap from behind to send a car flipping at those speeds, says plenty about how those roll cages are constructed for a guy to walk away, as well as the sprint car roll cages, still qualifying for tomorrow's race, Blaney in 20th rite now, @ last wks. truck race they interviewed Dave & his son, looks like the son, nice polite kid is doing pretty good for his age, finished 14th, 16th as I remember, 18yrs. but could have said 16, if that age is allowed to where some big names, Stewart, Harvick & others are already watching this kid, he may be moving up to Nationwide before too long,

Ryan Blaney made his Nationwide debut last week in Virginia and finished in 7th place. Pretty good run for a first start in the series. Not too bad of competition he was racing against either.
Top ten for the Virginia College Savings 250 on 4/27/11
(1)Kurt Busch (2)Denny Hamlin (3)Kevin Harvick (4)Ricky Stenhouse Jr (5)Sam Hornish Jr (6)Elliott Sadler(7) Ryan Blaney(8) Michael Annet (9)Austin Dillon (10) Kasey Kahne

Anyone else notice the guy that flipped had on a two piece suit? Seems a little unsafe.

Thats the one I was thinking of, where they interviewed the dad & son, & they were all smiles, he had a good finish, I got mixed up w/ the trucks w/ watching too much racing, <:-)
