yes congrats to both, they needed it. its too bad that the winters group had to ruin a good night of racing. if kent winters is that pissed about it, how about they do everyone a favor and stop coming to jackson. and if the winters group up in the stands want to be that way and throw $hit on the track, stay in BUTTerfield. there was absolutly no reason to throw cans full of beer. this is a family sport and actions like that are what is giving racing a bad rap. i am glad my kid wasnt there to see that. also i seen one of the winters ladies yell at a ticket taker. is that how tough they are? they have to yell at that old guy. just cause you cant take outside beverages into the track (just like many other tracks). saying that she will if she want because they are the only team there that spends $10,000 to race there. well if they are the only ones then they need to fire the sob driving because hes getting beat by lesser equipment. maybe get scott out of there would be the best thing for him, since is dad is a negative influence.

To chucky and all you other people that feel the same way...... I have taken my children to the races in Jackson since they were babies your family friendly environment has always been full of people drinking smoking and swearing long before my kids could walk and talk...Does John McCorkle think he's going to lose money because I bring an open bottle of water into the track. I don't think you people have a clue.. If its a family sport why do you continue to sell beer there??? Wouldn't have any thing to do with money??? not family values..Its us big whiners that help make your show. Sorry you people are so perfect and all have positive attitudes. The sorry bunch that gives racing a bad rap probably spent around $500 to $750 in the grandstand with food tickets ect... oh but its not about the money its a family sport. I would have words with Mr. McCorkle but I didn't see him. Yes us shallow people from BUTTerfield should probably stay at home, but I think its all the years of bad influence going to the races in Jackson that have rubbed off. If there was positive attitudes where are they? at home writing shit on the internet and not signing their real name..I missed the part of your good comments about how talented Scott is and just heard the crap. Enjoy your positive life you just proved how positive you are!!. Mom of Scott Winters R19, Beth Winters

well in my opinion im glad to see scott winters at jackson.......im glad he came back to jackson this year hes one hell of a racer and a nice guy i bought a shirt from him last week heck of a nice guy to talk to...so i dont know why what happened in the stands has anything to do with scott........and from what i saw and everyone around me saw it was a crap call by the flagman 1st of all it took 2 hrs to get scott hooked on the wrecker and then he more and got in the work area and they through the green...if they dont get rid of the flagman instead of having 14 sprints weekly we will prob end the year with 8 sprints weekly i thought the rule was 2 laps from the time you get to the work area?

i want it to be known that i think scott is a good driver, i never questioned his abilities. as for the 2 lap rule. (from working on cars to sitting in the stands) there is no 2 lap rule. it has been stated every night for the last i dont know how many years, that if you need to work on your car thats fine, BUT when the field is lined up and ready to go and the track is clear they are going back to green. yes i think the 2 lap rule would be better (unless bad weather was close, or some other situation like that), but it gets announced at every meeting. maybe the ones that are clueless about that and are in the pits, they should go to the pit meeting when all drivers are called up there. as for mrs. winters im sorry to offend you, but the last i knew this is america and i am entitled to my opinion, right wrong or otherwise. i dont know if that was you (i am now assuming it was), but from where i was standing over by the program window, i thought that little rant wasnt needed. the guy is trying to do his job. so i guess what that means is you can complain about something but i guess no one else has that right. well guess what, i know my rights and i will use them. and by the way i have taken my son to the races many times and never found anything around me offensive enough to want to leave or move from my seat. but you get people with "liquid courage" in them and they tend to do stupid things. what would happen if one of those beer cans hit someone (like a child)? you saying you wouldnt feel horrible about that? if it were me i sure as hell wouldnt go back at the track, i would go back to the person that was responsible for throwing it. it was stupid and you know it. whether you know the guys who did it or not i think you should be embarrased that they were even wearing a winters racing shirt. again sorry to put your shorts in a wad and you are only defending your family name, and i give you credit for that, but i hope you are ashamed as for what happend. have a good day.

This has nothing to do with Scott, I know Scott somewhat and the crew and I think they're all good people.  With that being said, for you to defend ANYONE throwing things onto the race track from the stands at ANY TIME for ANY reason is complete horse manure.  You should be ashamed of yourself for that.  I don't know if you know these people, or they're part of your group or not, but that doesn't matter one bit.  It's wrong, and you know it.

well if your refering to my post which im not sure if you are but if thats the case i dont see anything saying oh yea its cool give them a break i just said they should give the drivers time to change the tire...i never thought it was right to throw things ive been hit by beer being thrown at the knoxville nationals i dont think its cool maybe to solve the problem put the beer on tap and give them cups they cant be thrown near as far but with that being said its never cool to be throwing things on the track...so if you are refering to me please dont pick pieces of the post and interpert my post for what its not

Football, I wasn't referring to your post.  I don't disagree with anything you said in your post.  It was Mrs. Winters post that I was referring to saying that group probably spent 500-750 dollars....and I guess my understanding is that someone from that group is who threw the beer onto the track.  I think if she would think about that, and see that if this post was about another driver this happened to, she'd see that her defense on their part is wrong.  They'd spend less money if they wouldn't throw their beer onto the track!!  (sorry I couldn't resist) I'm not trying to get into something with anyone on here.  I simply feel that from a point of a person who has a car on that racetrack, and the safety of a driver and the competitors in mind, I have every right to say she's wrong for defending someone throwing things onto the racetrack and it doesn't matter if they spent $20 or $2000 a person....that's a pretty lame excuse.

jake

i have sat across from that bunch, and they are pretty arrogant, and self centered.

it is good to have your favorite driver do good , but the way they act is crazy, my boys look at them like what is there problem. i know the people that sat in front of them 2 or 3 weeks ago, and they were sick of their crap by the end of the night.

this is nothing about scot or kent or the crew but the people in the stands. i hope like hell they hauled them out of there for throwing things. i know if i would have been there and they would have hit one of my boys their butt would of been dragged to jail. i wonder how they would like that. (after they got the shit kicked out of them.)

there is no reason to act the way they do in the stands. it puts a bad taste to the driver in my mouth. even if he does good i sit and hope something breaks so he has to pull in.

As long as the can of worms is opened, lets look a little further into what started it.

Why does a car have to be on the hook with a flat tire? Couldn't he simply have been pushed into the work area with a push truck? What took so long to get him into the work area? Like football4life said, it toook ages for him to get there and when he was brought in he was bass ackwards.

How does Lusk get his spot back on the beercan yellow spin in turn2?

Since the race went green, how does Winters get pushed out, even if though it went yellow right way. In the past, if the race goes green, you're done for the night?

Personally, I enjoy watching Scott race and am glad he is there, but I tire of watching him swipe and dive at cars at the end of the race when things don't go as planned.

His fan section has moved from where they used to sit.

They must be old enough to drink now.

By the way, great run at Husets last night Scott!

Lusk didn,t cause the yellow. Scott Winters also got out of the car on the back stretch, isn,t that a diqualification? I personally think when you have a low car count you may lean towards the racers point of view a little more .jmo

Last I knew if you stop on the track you go to the back of the pack. Period the end! Doesn't matter if it was your fault or not. Lusk should have been sent to the back!

he didnt have to go to the back because the spin was after the yellow, not that i agree or disagree, but that is the way it is. it wasnt his fault for the yellow therefore he got his spot back

Shadow.

Things are running smoothly at Jackson this year. Thanks for your concern.

How's the golf game going?

Had he (22)spun and maintained forward motion, no one would be questioning the decision to give him his spot back..

It's the need for a re-push thats being questioned.
