Just read on IBRACN where its confirmed Tyler is out of the ride. Todd Shaffer will take over driving priviledges effective immediately. So..lets the rumors start I suppose. Supposidly on another post on here, Tyler flew back to California to have an inner ear problem diagnosed as some sort of vertigo....not real sure what that is but sounds not too good. Wonder when it clears up, where he could end up driving for? With Brad Sweet in the Red Bull #9 for the rest of the year and the Ollies Bargain Barn ride collecting dust right now, could we see Tyler in the KKR car in a few races?? Might not be a bad move.

He could have BPPV, look it up . He has had many hard flips and this can happen. You have to get special treatment from a ENT specialist. Take the time to look it up, this could be the problem.

I just love all the "speculation" (non-health wise) that is posted by people who may not like Tyler or anybody else for that matter. If Tyler truely is medicall ill, shame on you for posting your speculations about another human being who may be in trouble.
And IF "speculation" is true, unless you are a fellow driver and are the one having to compete on the track with him, what business really is it of anybodys anyway?
So he lost his ride. It happens, generally happens right before the Nationals but it happens and always will.

There is nothing illegal about this take time to read the symptoms. He is not the first driver to ever get it, 1 of the Knoxville Nationals winners got this and had to retire for about 3 years.

Yes I agree just because he was fine 12 hours earlier don't mean jack. An Inner ear infection can pop up at anytime. Havent any of you gone to bed feeling fine but when you wake up the next day you have a fever of 102 and got the flu. Tyler does alot of surffing and water in your ear can cause an inner ear infection if you don't get it all out, and may take sometime to affect you, I 've seen it happen with swimmers, and divers. GET WELL SOON TYLER!!!!!!!! Hope to see you back in action when all is well. Even if it isn't landing a ride back here in PA. He gained a fan for life while here.

I deal with having vertigo from a head injury. Until you walk a day in someones shoes that goes through it you will never really understand how it messes with you. You never know where or when it will hit you. Sometimes you feel it coming sometimes you don't.
In my case I can be standing and all of a sudden the world starts spinning. I'll start sweating like a pig, and sometimes puke my guts out. Once it starts it doesn't stop until it wants to. You have no real control. Effects can last for seconds or days.
Riding a bike and racing are two completely different worlds. I ride motorcycles but it is very uncomfortable because of the "not knowing". That's why I build and ride trikes, I have more stability. There is no way I could ever climb back into a race car. Racing with the extreme adrenaline, motion, and eye movement .......very scary.
If Tyler's condition is as it is stated he did an admirable thing by taking himself out of the car. The risk to himself and others would be huge. He is a hell of a talent and sure has had enough demon's to conquer in his life. Hopefully this is something he can overcome as well.
Sadly, this could be the end of his racing career.

Kool Trikes, you are right on the money. I have Menieres and that means Vertigo. Veritgo is not like being dizzy for a minute or two, it is violent spinning so bad you can't stand, walk or do anything but throw up. Sometimes these attacks last an hour or sometimes hours or days on end. It is absolutely misserable. I too admire Tyler for taking himself out of action until this clears up. If his vertigo is caused by the inner ear issue then it will clear up in time and hopefully he will be free of his vertigo. For others its always there, and no one has a clue as to why these attacks happen nor is there a cure. You just take it one day at a time and hope for no attacks. Hopefully Tyler will be back in a car soon.

Since this seemed to forget your memory, Jesse Keen parked his 17 car and stopped racing when Tyler messed up his knee last year, he didn't put anyone in the seat and told Tyler when he healed the ride was his. Now with a career threatening, let alone season threatening, head injury, you expect Jesse to keep his Kings Royal winning car parked...
I wish Jesse and Todd the best of luck. And obviously, I wish the best on Tyler as well, just want him to be behind the wheel of a sprint car soon, anywhere...
