Good thing Justin Clark threw the caution coming to the checkers.

Pretty raw deal for Bakker. Not sure how you throw a caution when the leader is about 50 yards from the checkered flag for a car thats still coasting about 70 mph in turn 2 that is in no way going to interfere with finish.

It must be about time Knoxville takes the heads off of Garner's motor. If anybody knows anything about racing you can see that this guy pulls things that no other 360 motor can do in the country !

He's so good he should move up. It's more likley the cars that don't win are cheating. Why don't they get checked?

First off got to admitt Bakker should have won with the yellow and checkered waving.(IMHO). Wow what a performance by Garner. He was on the move but bakker just looked so fast I didnt think he would have a shot at it. Great racing all around at Knoxville!! Can't wait for Thursday.

The only motor check that Knoxville does on a weekly race is the stack diameter and they also have a gauge to check the intake ports to see if the ascs intake gaskets are installed. Thats it. They do not pump any motors on a weekly show. Maybe the real poblem is Knoxville dosn't know what to look for and motor builders like Parker are taken advantage of this.

Clint's car has a Parker Motor (Newton, IA) that only gets ran at Knoxville. It is the house motor that Al takes care of. He put it in a car that has a driver who would run the hell out of it and look good. Notice Al Parker is down there every week tweaking the motor to get all of the horsepower out of it as possible. I think he has a good driver and puts a lot into keeping the motor fresh. I know nobody likes to see the same person win every night, but lets get some facts before we call him a cheater.

Congrats to Clint and his team on a great win. I don't think anyone has won from 8th in a 15 lap 360 race in quite some time. To accuse him of cheating is the ultimate compliment! (especially if you weren't there).
To sum it all up it goes like this. Last nights track was one of deteriorating grip and a choppy and inconsistent cushion. A real drivers track if you will. When most everyone else is riding around seeing what there car is doing, Clint was DRIVING his car where he needed it to be. That slight indecision by others is when he capitalized. It was a fabulous drive. Whether you like him or not he deserves respect.
As far as yellow flags go, when there is a dying car on the track you HAVE to throw the yellow no matter where the leader is. Knoxville has received plenty of criticism in the past for trying to get the race in and not throwing the yellow. We have seen the carnage from those nights first hand. That yellow is for every driver on the track for safety purposes, not for the driver running second. Please get over yourself and realize Knoxville just had an awesome night of racing with almost 80 Sprint cars in the pits. There could have been 100 sprints in the pits with the 305s.

What about Dave Hesmer with 65 all time 360 feature wins! Was he cheating? What about Steve Kinser with 700-800 feature wins! Give the guy a break, He's a hell of a good racer.
This guy broke an engine a couple years ago the week before the Nationals, They parked their Hauler down by our camper at North Campground unable to race the entire Nationals week because they were out of engines and did't want to chance borrowing another engine and damaging it. This had to totally suck for Garner as he is easy an A-main contender in the 360 Nat A-main. I say thanks to the people (Parker??) giving this guy the chance to show his talents.

Perfectly said by mbmotorspt!!! Maybe it's the fuel that Garner uses that makes that car so fast lol

Sammy also wins with a Parker motor.. Great job of building, creating a better mouse trap..If you cant win without one of Als motors, mayby its time to switch..You will have to get in line...Congrats Big Al

Once again Mark you have proved to be a gentleman, sportsman and student of our sport. You correctly identified the track condition, the ability of Clint Garner and reminded us all to respect such a display of talent from Clint. You are indeed a 'do-er' in sprint car racing and maybe you should give some consideration to the position that Ralph Capitani will vacate at the end of the season.

Dang Mr. B. you sound like you were there, I mean making sense and all and telling the story the way it actually unfolded, sheesh. I was gonna compliment you but apparently you've paid a few to already do that, heh heh.
Is the little guy still racing go-karts? Maybe he can send me a report of his most recent race again or an observation or two from the upcoming 360 Nats. I will be watching on here and laughing at all the conspiracy theorists that come on to moan because their driver got beat. I wish you well and a safe long weekend, under no circumstance does Chad need to Take It Easy.....
