As the Posse fans celebrate another Posse WoO victory Friday night (rightfully so btw) and we are weathered out at Knoxville tonight, I have been pondering ..... this racing year may be the best chance for a local Knoxville weekly driver to win against the WoO.

I am no huge Lasoski fan (but whatever else fans think of him .... he does WIN races as a WoO regular when he runs their whole deal and seems as though he won a Nationals or two.)

I would say it wouldn't be a HUGE upset if he would win something this season while the WoO is in town.

I realize he has started both nights this year at Knoxville on the front row ....but it appears right now he is head and shoulders above the others he is facing nightly at Knoxville and thus is a threat to beat the Outlaws as they have seemed to be head and shoulders faster the last few visits to Knoxville than any of our regulars.

I am not predicting nor 'cheer leading' for this to happen .....just that it seems like the best chance for a 'local' to win against the WoO in quite a while.

WARNING: The above is just the rambling on a cold chilly damp Iowa afternoon of an idle mind (I have tried pulling out my choke ....but the cable is unhooked from the choke plate.) So I'm still getting nothing more than an idle...................mind.

The reason why the Posse wins a lot at the Grove is because if let's say Dewease, Rahmer and Pittman all pull bad numbers and have to start at the rear, Hodnett, Leppo and Stevie might pull good numbers and start up front.

The issue with the Knoxville regulars is outside of Lasoski, Brown and McCarl I don't see much help. Maybe Dobmeier, Jeffrey and Droud if everything goes their way. Chances are one of their "big 3" will draw a decent pill and run well.

I'll gladly accept a Knoxville win over the Outlaws, same with the Attica locals this Friday.
