If the team doesnt plan on attending, maybe steve could put Sammy in his car, if you remember in Nascar when Earnhrdt put Waltrip in Steve Parks car after Park got injured. After their career relationship it surprized a lot of people, but racers are competitive types and just want to win and i think would be glad to drive top equipment seeing as how Sammys not running for points..... just an idea.
