I thought I would post this here from Oklahoma Tidbits. This takes place in Oklahoma City at Holley's BBQ a couple of times a year or so.

The next Racers Night At Holleys BBQ is Tuesday January 25, 2010 at 6:30pm. There will be another buffet for those that want to eat.

Thanks, Charlie Holley

Looking at he map the interchange to the right of photo is Lake Hefner Parkway, I-44, Oklahoma 74, 3 and 66 (or old US 66).

Holleys is just north of the intersection of the 39th Expessway & Portland

You can reply here or go to Oklahoma Tidbits and reply. It sounds like a great time. Dozens of the racing family will be there.

I am bringing that Binder Book with names and addresses in it from that Get Together we had at Round Up Pizza in Midwest City,Okla. a year ago and going to try and get new attendees to sign it and get there address, I meant to give that to you Brian before the last get together at Holley's BBQ.

Look foward to it tonight.

This "thing" we're doing grew out your thread "whatever happened to"! There wouldn't be enough room at the Pizza Roundup today, and it's going to be tough to get a seat tonight at a bigger venue (Holleys BBQ).

I need a new cellphone...............

I had great time at Holley's last night , looking around the room , lot of A main wins and Championship drivers in that place last night, those old films of the OKC Fairgrounds were just something, still amazed that the place is gone. The food quite tasty as well. Look foward to the next one.

The place was packed as well.

I was so busy! I didn't even know Jerry Stone was there! Or Jerry Maxwell either!

I asked this one guy if he drove-his reply "Sure, I drove a car. It was a 6 cylinder though, and it was numbered 501."

DON ENGEL?!

"Yeah"

WOW!

He just laughed.

Standing outside with Allen Crawford, this older gentleman looking distinguished yet casual comes out.

I said "You look familiar"

"Bob Hurley" he says as he shakes my hand.

Herb Lobdell was on hand

Trammell Rushing brought in some pics of cageless drivers who went through there in the 60's.

Dutch Ter Steege brought his wife, the one he came over from Holland with 50 years ago. He was at a store somewhere the other day- The counterguy asks him if he ever heard of someone out at the track called the "Flying Dutchman". Dutch just kinda looked odd at him and said "well, uh .yeah I have"--pointing to his name on his top ten jacket........The counterguy turns into a wildeyed kid and announces he's got to go home and tell his brother! LOL

I met one of the Lady drivers from Taft, awesome pics!

There was so much more.

Food was great too.
