There are 7,550 seats avaliable for Saturday night of the Knoxville Nationals. I really hope it sells out! Knoxville needs to start selling the seats closer to the track and in the corners at reduced price just to put butts in the seats

Huh! Who would have guess that it wouldn't be and won't be sold out?
I quit buying tickets ahead of time a few years ago. There are plenty of good seats available right up to race time without risking the $ on shows that I might not get to or want to see (exp- daytime races).
A while back in a thread about childrens ticket prices I was told how "cheap" sprint car racing tickets were.
Knoxville and for that matter all of racing has been pricing themselves above reality for many years already.
If you have empty seats you need to do something to fill them, lower ticket prices would help.

I really enjoy the regular Saturday nights at Knoxville. great racing, plenty of good seats and a lot of nice people you know or at least recognize. Prices aren't too bad for a family.
The Nationals are a whole different crowd. It would be nice if they could figure out someway to help the people that support them all year. I know first hand that a lot of familys that support the track all year can't afford the Nationals.
Maybe there is some way they could save their ticket stubs or something and turn them in to get discounts on unsold tickets for the nationals. I don't know. It was just a thought.

I think the lower and middle rows are the best seats at Knoxville. The upper rows are too far away from the action for me.

Iowa and rain! That's why you see 10 foot tall corn in the fields.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

I hope some of those empty seats are in my row. I could use some elbow room![Smile](/images/Main/smile_100x100.gif)

I agree with Holden... without any rigs in the infield you can see the whole track from any seat...but the closer you are the more you feel the speed of this joint and the power rattle your seat. The place is so big and smooth that the higher seats just don't provide an appreciation for the speeds they are actually running at. During the regular shows if you want to see over the rigs then I can understand going higher, but during the Nationals the lower the row, the better it is.
