Robert,
The things you're doing, have done, and probably continue to do in honoring and remembering Jesse is absolutely great. You really have done what you do best....gotten your elbows up, gassed 'er up, and put on a show....in honor of Jesse. You've made a whole drivers suit dedicated to Jesse, the sticker on the hood....can I please mention the donuts, lol....the words, the memories, the trophy to Jack....the interview with Racin Boys, and I'm sure this list will continue to grow....Its SO deeply appreciated, I have a lack of words to try and descibe the goosebumps I get, as I'm sure many others do, when we see you do these types of things.
Bobby, being a Hockett fan/family member it was hard to like you out there next to Jesse....part of me thought you were gonna be too wreckless....part of me just knew that you were nearly a mirror image of my cuz once you got on the track....go to the top, and stand on it! If you're slow, MOVE! Going back to that T.H.A.T. race, man how about that?!?! Wheel to wheel, slider after slider, wheww....you boys were racin' now....going back a week or two before Jesse passed, I witnessed (through the computer) a truely "Hockett-like" performace. You at L'burg, and the left front tire was literally coming off the wheel....did you pull in? HELL NO! You stood on the gas, and passed The Demon, and others, going back and forth with no thought or consideration for your own well-being....you were being you, a racer. Thats all that mattered, trying to beat the rest of the field, no matter your handicap at the time--that didn't matter, you knew you could still put on a show and had the capabilty to win the damn thing....Thats some "Hockett-ness" for ya....the will, the determination....outstanding my friend.
All that being said....only thing i can say, is that from now on, you're an Honorary Hockett to me buddy. If you'd like to legally change you're name to add the hypen and Hockett, that would be fine with me....lol. But seriously, Keep it up man. And go kick some ass!
