I remember what a competitive wing race was like, and that's a fact..LOL Back in the early to mid 80's I used to drive across the state of Washington for the Saturday night winged sprint, super mod, and late Model show at Skagit. That was before they were so locked down. I also remember when they become uncompetitive at my home track, the big 1/2 mile, Manzy. It was when they started running the bigger wings, and started running it without lifting, and that's a fact!
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Sure it was a good thing it was televised for us hard core guy's, but I don't think the last few telecasts's has necessarily brought in new fans. Why are you guy's so complacent and willing to except the poor racing unless their on such a small track it becomes a obstacle course? I've seen worse is a poor excuse for such a uncompetitive race. The fact is that it was not a competitive race, and that many, heck, I'll say very many of the cars on the track were not competitive at all!... If winged sprint cars were my first choice in sprint cars racing, I wouldn't be very happy with the competitiveness of that series. In fact, I'd be very worried about it, and that's a fact.

I have never quite understood how accepting so many people on this board are of the Outlaws high prices compared to the quality of the racing they present. But that series has always been a series in which a couple teams win a majority of the races.

Sorry, but it's sprint car racing on TV...what more do you want? If you don't like it, and there are enough others that share your opinion, sprint races on TV will stop....is that what you REALLY want?
Some folks just like to complain.....even when they've got a pig under one arm and a loaf of bread under the other.....

Having a conversation about the competitiveness of the series is not complaining. Not one word about the announcers, the track, or anything of that nature about the telecast was mentioned. My opinion about the competitiveness of the series certainly will not be a factor if they do, or do not have more of these race's on TV. Stop being a drama queen Chuck

Honestly I've never understood why so many on this board are so critical of the Outlaw racing. I thought the race last night was fine from what I could see on TV. Battle for the win in the last few laps, I have a feeling if the exact same race would have occured at Lincoln, with Monteith and whoever up front, people would have been singing its praises. We saw the same thing happen last yr at Knoxville, with Schatz making a great charge in the last 10 laps to win it, had it been someone else making the charge, everyone would have been jumping up and down for what a great race it was. Instead, the cries of boredom etc... There is a built in bias not just from the Outlaw fans on the board but certainly also from the Outlaw haters.

I ask this only because you brought up Lincoln. How many races do you think are won off the front row at Lincoln?

I'm going to be hooking up with my Aussie friend Matt in a few day's for a fishing trip down in Mexico. While we're driving down, I'll be sure to pass on your words of wisdom, and the fact the a lot of Australians are big mouthed louts, including him. LOL First... I'm not complaining, I'm stating a fact about the race.Second... I'm a non wing old school kind of guy, and I was dreaming and hoping I'd see a good race, knowing darn well the odds were against it. Third...USAC has been streaming a lot of races this year all free, and the technology, hence the picture is getting better most every time they stream. That makes me a happy man.
You guy's down under need to get it together, and do it right. Now this guy is doing it right..Turn it UP!

Where might I get a good action photo of the Ford shown in the video? I don't have one of that car without the crutch.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
