One race and three rain/snow/weather outs, only you would think that 25% is a positive number, you must get that from lookin' at where Dubya is in the polls, lol. Florida got 100% in, the Outlaws got 100% in and you spin it to think you're ahead of the game, priceless. Take It Easy....

As for traffic who raced in Florida, I could easily have added names like Clabaugh, Darrah,Wolfe, Busby, it's still basically the same thing. Not much competition for Rahmer, Hodnett and DeWease. (Darrah is gonna be a good one, he did some good things in FL. Wolfe too, all good guys as well, but none of them actually went forward in a Florida race)

wolfe and darrah are running the 360 ascs series at susky also and other big races in the area. should make for some great seat time for these two up and coming kids, i feel in time these two will represent the area real fine

Ahhh...A pretty woman and intelligent too! First of all...I hope you don't take my words as insulting to the posse drivers. Didn't mean it that way. I was really impressed with Darrah, kids got big nads and a heavy foot. He's the one I think we'll hear from before too long. Lucas I still wonder about. The Helm deal didn't turn out good. He also sat on the front row in one of the Volusia events but they must have really missed the setup or something, because he went back quick. But he's young and likes to race and that can only mean good things, at least he gets out and faces other competition. He's a very cordial young man as well to my experiences with him.

Mike...I know BRR is blow and no go. He needs the attention and look for the BRR reports to return as he'll need to do something to deflect the results of his troops vs the traveling circus.

BRR- Now that you admit the front rows are the lowest point/dollar average cars and is "often a low buck team with a first - second year driver", how is that so great that future hall of famers with huge budgets and top notch equipment can pass them? Is that what makes your HOF'ers so great? The fact they can pass the low budgets? So if Saldana or Schatz can pass Brian Carlson, Jason Martin or Becca Anderson and the like, that is what makes them great drivers? Please, at least the WoO doesn't reward their drivers for their mediocrity or failures in past weeks by putting them up front to help make them feel better. You have to earn everything, evey night with the Outlaws. And when you have success, you know you earned it.

Read Mr. Spielz post, my goodness, a posse fan with a real idea and enough kahunas to actually speak his opinion. His assessment equals what I have seen and what I speak of much to your dismay. His is also formed with much more experience there than mine, but despite my limited PA experience, apparently I really did see what I thought I saw.

Again, after getting whipped by the facts, you fall back on your dominance of the All Stars. None of which even have the budgets of some of your lower tier, much less the budget of the upper tier. Plus you want to wager against our little guys on your home turf. Can you possibly tilt the scales any more in your favor. If you are in dire need of money, I will give it to you with no risk involved. My wager was at least fair. Your big dollar teams on their own home soil against the insurgents, where everyone, even the WoO themselves, praise your team as the most fierce of locals. But you lack confidence, despite your crowing, you turn out to be quite the phony and only prove my point that you only seek attention. Too bad it isn't so good this time.

MSPN says, The point is not so much where they started but how did they get there. Really. I think most people feel the main attraction of the night is the feature race, not the procedure it took to get there. Time trials are a waste of time and track, and the dash is generally a boring follow the leader race which sets the finish for the feature.

MSPN also says The rare time it does happen is a green to checkers deal where the leaders are gone and the yellows don't give it to the big dogs. YAWN. Isn't this what my original post was all about? The guy on the front row driving off and leaving everybody behind!

Maybe it's me. Maybe it's because I grew up going to the Reading Fairgrounds weekly, where the top point man started 18th every week. Maybe I just like to see race cars pass each other and not follow each other. See you at Lincoln Saturday, maybe we can increase that percentage.

I don't go to a race for just a feature. If I was just waiting to see the feature I wouldn't get that much would I. I go for the whole package. And I like time trials. It gives you the sense that they are fighting to start up front. I live in New York where the ESS series has a similar inversion. It seems like the leader pulls away no matter who they are and I find it boring to see the top dogs in the middle of the pack. Its much more exciting to see Saldana and Schatz battle for the leader than to see a Rahmer or Dewease work their butts off just to finish fifth.

Freddy numbers, wrong again, dang you gotta read the post more than once it appears!

I am not a fan of time trials but it helps set up the rest of the night and it is a part of what it takes to get to that front row, HELLO. My reference to the green to checkers was to the fact that the big Posse dogs don't often win those, they use the yellows to set up the lesser lights and win that way.

I grew up going to the races back in the 50's where the high point man started LAST and had to pass about 20 cars to win and often did. However, with today's quality fields that are often within a second of each other that isn't gonna happen, the dinosaurs are gone also.

With Outlaw shows there is lots of passing but it may not be the leader or for the lead, hopefully as a veteran racefan you don't just watch the front row, even in PA. Drivers have been passing cars and lots of them all year long, check out TK or McCarl on some of their nights.

Another PA guy being anti-Outlaw, nothing news here folks. Take It Easy....

This debate gets rather old fellas but just to add FACTS to the argument, Their were 14 different drivers at the Grove last year not counting the 4 Outlaw winners. MSPN is wrong once again because he credits the big 3 for winning a majority of the races, but in FACT the Hammer Doug Esh was the leading feature winner at the Grove last year. So 14 different winners in 32 races means the little guy gets his fair share! Go Brian/Cris!

P.S. Coachbob, look forward to your trip to PA in May, stop by and say hello in the VIP!

The song seems to remain the same, 7 races, 5 won from the front row the other 2 from the second row. Let's check that stat after 7 races in the heart of sprint car country, central Pennsylvania.

"Be Lucky".... Roger Daltrey Atlantic City 3-9-07

why are you even trying to compare these two this way? if one seris has an invert and one sreis has a straight up start there is no way they can be compared the way you are trying to. 7 races 6 different winners. lets compare that after 7 pa races. hell are there even 7 guys IN pa that can WIN a race in pa?

With Hodnett out considerably last year Doug was in the big three Clint, lol. Have a look at your speedweek results for the last half dozen years and tell me who wins most of them and who's on the podium. There are a few good teams in PA, (about 4) and a lot of also rans who compete with the big boys at the Grove only, some things never change. By the way, any of the big three do anything at Knoxville or Florida much over the years, didn't think so. Take It Easy....

Yes Pretty woman...I knew how old Darrah is, I spoke with him every day in Florida, for a few moments anyhow. I didn't mean he had to tour to be heard from, PA guys don't do that.

Clint, we have a skeleton crew, (only two of us) thus I won't have time for any visit before or during the racing. After the evenings festivities are over I would be willing to drink a cold Diet Mt. Dew with ya however. I look forward to seeing you rabid posse dogs. I always enjoy being out there and conversing with you folks (even BRR who is much more loveable in person than on here) You love your racing and your locals, that makes you all ok in my book. One of these years I'm gonna get somebody out there to show me some posse hospitality fishing wise.

Enjoy your racing, it's supposed to be cold again this weekend. I'll be watching from afar.

What are the odds of seeing a CURRENT Knoxville (or any other midwest or west coast) driver beating the WoO this year? Are those odds better than when they go to PA?

The "porch" argument is getting to be quite laughable. Knoxville guys can't beat the WoO at home or off the porch, yet you rag on the PA guys, who CAN beat the WoO at home, because in your mind, they don't get off the porch enough? Hell, the Knoxville guys even have the advantage of being able to time in every week and still can not get the job done, what's the excuse???

Hmmmmm, do you REALLY want to go there?

The top 2 in Knoxville points in 2006 tried their hands in cars that have won WoO features....how did they fare?

As I've stated before, it's not defense. Just common sense, and with a response like that, it just proves that there may be an inkling of truth to my post...

maybe it should be pointed out that the 2 drivers from knoxville being referred to were still new to the 410 game and fresh from a 360 when they were in those cars........i would bet they would fare far better now.

Mike, I just assumed that your big 3 always included Hodnett, Dewease, and Rahmer like it has in the past. Your right on your Florida stats the last several years but all have picked up top 5's along the way and Rahmer has won in Knoxville the last couple of years but I'm sure you'll be quick to point out that he went backwards when it counted. Either way I dont see any other group of locals winning out at Knoxville during Nationals week. Because I thought thats what we were debating, what part of the country has the best locals?

Team wright-one: You can rag on PA all you want and its fan base but the Wild Child stats at any PA track are laughable. He was able to make 2 A mains last year when he came here which is actually quite good for him compared to recent years.

Coachbob- Sounds good about meeting after the races, I'll make sure to throw in a Diet(I cant believe you drink this stuff) Mt. Dew in the cooler for ya!
