So, how many national guys will show up here and at Dallas? I wouldn't be surprised if we have 40 cars.( I also won't be surprised with 25).

if somehow we do get to race.....and the track is not threatened with rain throughout the day. I would suspect well over 40 - and maybe approaching 50. of course David is right - with such high rain chances - 25-30 would not be very suprising either. And that would suck - because many wont be happy with paying 15 to see half our regular field of sprints - along with just 2 other classes - one of those being EXTREMELY weak.

There's a strong contingent just from the sooner region - prob around 25 with the SFS guys added. The Lone Star region could bring 5 - or could be 15. But the Nat. tour raining out just about esnures that the National drivers in this region - would have much more interest. Baldaccini, Robb, Minter, Wood, Bacon, Crawford, S. McClelland, Jason Johnson, etc.

and to be honest - some KS, MO guys as well. Peters, Zach Chappell, Sutherland, Bellm, Maier..

who knows. who knows if we will even get to race. The only certainty is that mother nature's weekly assualts on the Oklahoma Dirt Track Racing Scene ---- will definitely continue. The saturday night shows statewide have been hit really hard - some worse than others, but that looks like it will continue for some and maybe all tracks this weekend. And the extended forecast already shows extremely high rain chances next weekend.

"The Bitch" is certainly having her way with Oklahoma's dirt tracks.

also - anyone who attended the Saturatued Track Nationals (Short Track Nationals) at I-30 in 2007 - knows that for them to call the show - it must be bad.

The first night that year was just brutal. I thought they for sure rained out - so went ahead and worked and then left - hitting little rock at near 1am - they still had a B and A Main to go. Mostly because of the tragic Josh Howard crash. BUT - they took heavy equipment and scraped the dirt entire parking lot and pits until it was packed in hard. granted, this isn't the Short Track Nationals - but still a really big show. It must be really bad for them to call it.

The weather is really killing what ASCS is trying to do this year.

Incredible. I feel bad for the National guys. This year has sucked for racing. If it does end up raining tonight I swear I might go postal. I have only been able to make one race this year and if I miss tonight, it could be bad. LOL

I think the car count will be very solid tonight with Little Rock raining out. These guys were all geared up to go racin this weekend. Got the cars ready and the trailers good to go. Already planned on traveling. I think they'll show up here. If you race it, they will come.
