Pretty cool man but I think these are Champ cars not sprints. Look at how long they are. 100 Inches?

Those are the carbuerated supermodifieds! Yee-huh!
Man that was a great weekend! Two days of supers, the best pizza anywhere from Pizza Shuttle, and I also discovered the entertainment options on Fort Sill BLVD! I will not expound on that one!

Come to think of it, that is also the last weekend my brother ran at Lawton. Didn't make the 'A', so I'm betting he's not in there.

The guy that won this race, took them to school that night! It doesn't show it here, but he would come out of turn 2 as if he were on a sunday drive. the other guys behind would work harder, and that is how he got an even bigger advantage, the more they tried the slower they got.

I recognize/remember #33 Glen Owens, #24 Kyle Forsythe #10 is either Jeff Abernathy or Matt Mercer ?? Other then those I didn't watch all of it to catch any others that the camera man focused on..

The 10 car was Matt Mercer. He moved to Florida in 1999 and ran pavement sprints for a while. Rumor has it he is gonna race some more maybe this season with TBARA.

That's Abernathy in the 10.
Mercer was running at Tulsa in '87 I believe.

83 was Steve Smith, 87 Mike McClelland, Aaron Lemmons in the 12, Paul Ott in the siver 89, Greg Cherry in the yellow/blue #6, AJ Little in the red #6 (with the crazy wing), Gary Flatt in the white #2, Larry Allen in the red/white 16, white #85 Rickey Darnell, #03 Joe Wood,
AJ Little got it turned around before the year was over and won the next time the NCRA came through.
