I just saw on the ASCS 2 website, that they are on schedule to be at OKC fair grounds and Lawton Speedway during the speedweek with the ASCS cars. That will be pretty cool to see those cars on those tracks.

Do you think a limited mod and an ascs2 sprinter would be a good race? Are they even? Just trying to think of how boring ascs2 may be on a large track. Single file?

Ya I can see where that could be boring, I dont know, I have never watched these cars on anything other than a small track. I just thought it would be different. I have been going to Lawton for a long time and I have always wondered how fast mini sprints would be on that track.

they will be great to watch at Lawton - not so sure about SFS.

but Creek not runnin a single ascs2 event really hurts em - glad to see some other tracks step up and schedule em......

they are extremely fun to watch....

When the 1200cc mini-sprint's ran SFS 1/4 with the WOO they put on a very good show. In fact IMO sometimes a better show than the WOO. But, this is when Oklahoma and Texas had decent car counts in these cars.

that didnt work ourt very well. lol j/k

i tell ya one thing i did think - when ascs is at SFS the track is usually a swampy canyon - this would have disastrous consequences for the micros. in fact, i dont think they could race at all if the track got rough - not on a 3/8ths - they will be at higher speeds than any of the Oklahoma micros have ever been before (in oklahoma).........cant have any deep ruts and/or trenches in the track.

Lanny aint dumb. its probably cheaper for him to run ascs2 than even the USA Mods. so if he really just ran limiteds and ascs2 with ascs - he's prob gonna make a killin. and hey ya know what - if its a decent race (and not more than 12$ lol) - I'm in full support of it.

greg - creek county's website shows 0 ascs2 races. i checked it 2 nights ago - because i was zeroed in on the TNT date. it just showed bandits and SMRS midgets. i really hope they run the same 3 classes they did last year tho. thats my personal most anticipated race in the entire state in 2009. the micros have put on as good a racing as the bandits did the last 2 years....

here is the link for the ascs2 schedule

http://micros.ascs2racing.com/schedule.shtml

by the way - i really like this schedule. it makes a lot of sense. its unfortunate that there is not more CCS dates - as well as no Will Rogers or Port City - but its very consolidated. which i think is a good thing. and its awesome they are gonna have the Outlaw division tour with ASCS Speedweek.

even tho i live in El Reno - i have never been to Duttons (fort cobb) before - I look forward to goin there this year - hope this series gets good counts and stuff. every time i ever seen micros - the racing is great.

lastly, i am in high anticipation of the SFS 2009 schedule. especially to see if I-44 and SFS Winter Nationals are butting heads again. i hope not. i think if they are were on seperate weekends - more people would go to the ascs2 weekend at I-44. I like the facility at I-44. but i think the only time its worth it to go is when they have good car counts. ascs2 races there appear to have had good counts everytime. so........

ok let me take some of that back - on the last weekend on I-44 it says date pending (10-9 and 10-10).............they prob a few steps ahead lol. if they gonna run against a winter nationals - better to do it against Lawton or Devils Bowl (ie the weekend before or after SFS)
