CrazyDeke wrote something about not needing the fans to go and race and not doing it for the fans. Just know that this fan doesn't go to see your modified division run slowly around the track while rutting it up for the real race cars! You may want to make you a track in your backyard or something since without the fans that's where you would be racing. Fool!

Guess you cant read to well. I said we dont have to have fans to go and race. I do like having them. But if i had the choice of having fans or racing, i would choose racin over fans anyday. If you think i'm a fool, fine. But this fool didnt spend 30k on a race car to have fans. I spent it to go racin.

Now as for your slow comment, we're only 1 1/2 seconds slower than the cars that have to have wings, half our weight and 3 times the tire size. I guess we havent put on some of the best racing at all this season. Just ask Jeff Leep how hard it was to drive a car without a wing on it. He kinda got the perspective of how we have to drive.

As for the modified comment, i guess we wont be seeing you in the stands for the big show.

i think what we should do is the last race of the season we should just throw the black flag away and let yall racers go out there and beat the hell out of each other. Just see what it would be like if you don't have to worry about getting flagged. Lets see if anyone finishes a feature. first its to not enough, then its to much. You guys are gonna have to realise that you cant flag a perfect race, no matter who you are. Crazydeke is very right. we don't flag a driver cause we don't like them or cause we have our favourites, its cause there is anywhere from 10 to 50 thousand dollars on the line. i hope it rains this weekend so that all you guys that are wound up from the race season can cool your jets. Come on now, we don't want any cars tore up and I know drivers don't. I don't know about you but i don't like 5 car features.

I am a corner flagman at Enid and I AGREE with you 100% YOU CANT MAKE EVERBODY HAPPY!

well howdy. i don't know about you but i hate being a flagman anywhere on the track. That is just like being a cop. eve though we are there to tell you something or help you out the drivers always hate us. I cant tell you the number of times i have flagged a driver cause of a dangerous car or sheet metal or something like that and got the finger because he thought we BF him for bad driving. At Brills all you have to do is if you get BF for something hold your temper and pull into the hot pits and ask an official that is always there to see what the problem is. I don't like drivers getting mad at me out there. I spend a lot of time on the track and i have the brightest lights in the world on my truck but my life and everyone elses depends on the drivers out there and a mad driver is a dangerous driver. so with that said i hope everyone learned something from this thread and i will see yall Saturday night. LET'S GO RACING!!!!!!!

Dont get mad at me, im just the pushtruck guy.

I know what you mean. I wish that everyone who wished they could race or wonder what its like out there with us, could be given that chance. I was there once before i got mine. And i know that for the sport of racing, we need all the fans we can get because the track cannot stay open without a good fan base. Just wished i could change your mind and see if you could give us mod guys a little love without always cheerin for the winged nuts! LOL!

Ok just so I am clear I was not saying that you need fans so to speak but let me see to be realistic... without fans then the track would have no reason to be open because like the other guy said you could race in your backyard ... no entry fees ... no payouts and so on ... So the WAY I SEE IT ...

No Race Fans would mean no need to open the track every week would give you no place to race ... I realize after reading what I posted earlier that was unclear for that part but in reality ... To get a track to be able to open they need Drivers to entertain .... Fans to be Entertained and let me think or should I say POINT out they both pay money to accommodate the payouts ... Oh how about the 50/50 tickets too that 1/2 goes toward driver fund at end of year so I think my point was valid. I am to assume you do not like the payouts which I assume go toward your car or entry or something that has to do with racing a car ... And with that assumption I assume you do not want the payouts so people should stop coming to track to watch the races and buy 50/50 so that you have a payout and drivers fund at end of year since you do not need fans but maybe 2 of us are not able to read .... I read that the same way Sorry but I am hoping that I better explained my thought about the Driver and fans being needed for a track to be a track... If not I apologize in advance so you do not have to down me for my stupidity

On the other hand I have to question how bright a guy is who's half-naked; his face and body painted bright colors, sitting in a stadium in 40 below weather, cheering for some millionaire athlete, who doesn't even know he's there.

Now that goes past Fan ( FANATIC) to just crazy I love my racing but freezing and painting my self no way in h*ll And thank you for clearing that up you are one of the few on this site that have not been obnoxious about my comments

There you go. ASS U ME. I said i dont need fans to go racing. That is not my motivation in life to go out and race so that i can have fans! I did not say the track and the organization as a whole didnt need a fan base.

Are u clear now?!

As for the 50/50 fund. Thats for top 10 only at SFS. Others tracks dont have that fund for the drivers, so your wrong there. And yes, some of the prize money does go back into the car, but to rebuild or to replace a $8000, $15000 or some $20,000 dollars motors, prize money wouldnt even come close.

So, before you go and ASS U ME again, please dont. You have no earthly idea of what a racer and car owner goes thru financially, mentally and time wise, to put a car on the track. And truth be known, we have the same payouts as they did 10-15 years ago. In some cases less than what they paid out.

Thats why, gettin back to what this whole thread was about to begin with, we need the black flag to control people tearing up cars un-necessarily. Higher costs, lower payouts. Not a good financial decision.

THATS WHY WE DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF RACING!

Understand now?

and to be clear, i have no hostilities toward disagreements! :-)
