As a Petaluma regular that was one of the most exciting main events I have ever seen.Congrats to Richard Bailey on his hard fought victory,he never gave up.It was great to see the top 4 cars race side by side through lapped traffic right to the checkered and never bang wheels, they really showed each other alot of respect.I think us fans all got our moneys worth and I will be looking forward to the next Civil War race on the 26th

Although my favorites (Alissa and Andy) didn't do so well, that was one hell of a finish and I think it was the perfect night to introduce a friend of mine to the sport for the very first time. I'll be taking him and another newbie to racing to the show on the 26th hopefully...
Congrats to Richard on his first win!

Being from Knoxville, Saturday was my first time at Petaluma. The racing was great. Seeing the top 3 within striking distance of each other at the end was fantastic.

the shark took a big bite out of the leaders in the civil war points deal has a huge lead thanks to some great driving by the shark an hard luck by AF and the x1 car ....great run by the 83v team and was real happy for young richard bailey although the announcer never really gave richard any credit i mean come on his 1st win and a civil war win at that.......alissa 3x had her eyes on the win an was closing when she hit a spun car parked in the middle of the track she is a credit to the sport an the crowd favorite where ever she goes. and that ..includes me..myles bishop had the transfer to the main but was hit twice on the rear nerf once in 4 and the second time out of 1...go 7..........on to the FORNI......at p-ville.....

We are really lucky to have some great tracks and drivers here in California and I think people are finally putting CA on the map for having great sprint car racing!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Also have to give credit to Terrell he had the best car the first 25 laps and in the open, but I think Bailey was better in traffic and the fastest the last five laps.Geving actually ran over Bailey in her crash, the lapped cars spun directly in front of Terrell and Bailey and they both lifted so they would not slide into them.Geving was about 4 car lengths behind Bailey and never lifted and drove right over the top of him.I looked at Baileys car after the race and the rear bumper was dragging the ground ,and there were tire marks over the top of the tail and the top rear corner of his cage and his wing was tore up.Thats about the 3rd time this year Ive seen her drive into a crash wide open this year at Petaluma ,hopefully she figures that out.

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, come on, how can you say that California is FINALLY being put on the map for having GREAT sprint car racing!!! I must say that Ascot was probably the most famous dirt track ever in America, and what kind of cars did they run damn near every Saturday night? West Capital pumped out so many incredible Gold Cups, that until Tim Kaeding laps the field, Chico aint Shiot! San Jose and Vodddens Badlands treated fans to so many rivalries, but it is the personalities, not the places that leave the longest memories. The Preacher Gary Patterson, Tony"the tiger" Simon, Anthony "cannnonball" Simone, and JR. himself, need I say more...

California on the map when did it leave the map? I've been around this sport for some time now also been lucky enough to do this for a living and traveled the country working on sprint cars and I always had people ask about certain drivers and tracks from Calif, such tracks as Ascot, West Capitol, Calistoga, Hanford, Chico, Baylands, Tulare, Placerville all these and more tracks people from back east from mid west all heard of but never seen and would like to, Wow and the drivers we've had some great one's and still do man where do I start, Maybe I shouldn't start and let people from this site name the greats. Just want to say we are lucky to seen and still see great sprint car racing in California

It just seems like the Sprint Car magazines don't talk much about California Sprint Car racing! I went to Lernerville speedway last year and was talking about how we have great sprint car racing. Many people didn't realize there was great sprint car racing soo far West. I told them about the different series we have, great drivers and tracks, and that the Outlaws come to the West coast also. Maybe there were out of the loop, but it just seems like the Midwest gets all the credit for great sprint car racing! I am happy to live in CA and think we are very lucky to have the sprint car racing we have. I was thinking about the schedule of races and anywhere from the end of February to the beginning of November there is a sprint car race somewhere in CA to go to.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
