We are all talking about how the high price of gasoline and diesel are affecting the car counts and our ability to get to the venues to enjoy the sport we love. Here is something real that we can do about it, and I already have.

Go to American Solutions.com and sign the petition, it is very quick and easy to do. It petitions our congress to authorize drilling for the oil that is here in the United States. Montana, The Dakotas, Wyoming, Alaska, Onshore, Offshore. Wherever it is. Drill Now!

Sign the petition today. At........www.americansolutions.com

This congress does not need to be paid off to veto any drilling bills. They will gladly do that for free. Drilling kills worms you know.

Mike, By the time the Oil Idiots explore ,drill, update or rebuild the refinery ,we will all be dead....They have no intentions of spending their HUGE profits in the States.......Besides that ,do you want those states to look like the pass from Santa Maria to Bakersfield...DEAD and DIRTY..and DESOLATE..... I, to am angry about prices, but not to keen on destroying some the most beautiful places on earth......To make the OIL companies more money.....Mabee our new president will care...HAHA......Nancy O,Troy Montana

You are sadly mistaken...I can cite several areas in the united states where the oil companies have wanted to either build another refinery or drill for more oil to be shut down by enviro's.....I have lived on the Central coast for almost 50 years and that pass between Santa Maria and Bakersfield was ALWAYS dead and desolate even without the oil companies......Your mindset is the biggest problem we all face..You want cheaper oil but are not willing to compromise......There is no compromise as far as the enviro's are concerned...Prime example.....Let me ask you this.....How many miles of coastline does the united states have?????...How many miles of coastline are actually open to offroad vehicle use???...Yet the enviro's have to have the 3 miles that are left of Pismo Beach shut down also???...Where is the compromise here???...I am not suggesting that we destroy the beautiful places here on earth..I just know that there needs to be some compromise here....We all want cheaper oil prices and we can do something about it...But it will take both sides making compromises.....It just seems that the Motorsports community as a whole have been the ones making all of the compromises.....When will the Enviro's take there turn???

I guess there is no oil in Montana. A few years back Chevron, Exxon and Unocal operated off shore drilling platforms off the California coast from Orange County to Santa Maria. They sold all of these properties to smaller independents because they were not making enough $$ doing business. So I don't think any major oil corporation are interested in seeking domestic crude when they can invest their huge profits in other third world countries as well as their large pensions and profit sharing schemes. But of course Alaska is a possibility but here again you are dealing with a very strong environmental ant-oil force. I am sick of $4.60+ gas prices. It is affecting my ability to attend my favorite sprint car tracks.

Since so many people seem to fall for all the media propaganda , has anyone done some research on how many drilling rights that oil companies already have and refuse to use? If you would guess 10000 then you are way too low. Now, guess how many sq. miles these rights include. You might go for one million but you are way too low again. People, please do the research on the truth. You do not need to believe me but if you do believe a network that is a voice for any party you are making a mistake.

Just a simple question. If all the big oil companies are making record profits then why would they want to do anything to change that ? You know, such as produce more oil. A vast amount of U.S. oil is exported and why would more oil change that problem ? There are many problems with the issue of oil, but the quanitity is the least of them. Oil is going to be used as a political volleyball, be very careful what you believe.

The oil pocket off shore in the Santa Barbara channel is huge. Enough oil I am told to supply the USA for many years alone. Back in the late 60's and early 70's there were several spills, one big one. The tree huggers made it so hard for the oil companys after that and it is worse now. Blame the car companies for not making hydrogen cars and blame the sand jockeys for the high price of a barrel but blame the tree huggers for restricting the drilling.
