Sounds like a great race. I am looking forward to next weeks Santa Maria race. It's going to be great, Danny is due here and I am looking forward to the whole group racing on the new clay. They are putting in extra duty to ensure a great race and a fast and racey track. Makes me wonder if records are gonna fall. I ended up working the stock car show last night and the track was FAST, especially in the feature. The LM's drew an 12 pill and ran a blazing race in 8min.44 seconds, with lots of passing high and low with great tacky footing! My opinion is it will be great for the 410's! Super Ricky has a shot at another here too!

Sheridan and Kittles will recieve their American flag earned by winning the Memorial week-end Bandit race, it was given by a elderly race fan and flew over a base in Bagdad and over Arlington cemetary so it is special. I have it in my posession and am looking forward to presenting it to Danny and the entire Kittle team. He couldn't make it to the event due to the weather and health. He is hoping to see it presented Saturday night.

Looking forward to all of my 410 friends and a few 360 souls who are ready to show their stuff. I am already excited for a fantastic and exciting event...

Congrats to Rickie! One of the nicest guys around bags another one. You don't need to leave us to run those stinking trucks.....LOL

As for an example as to what gas $$$ is doing to the racing scene, 2 car owners accounted for about 1/3 of the field. If your a team with a fairly stout 360, might want to head for that Santa Maria show. If cars stay parked due to fuel $$$ like they did last night, you just may very well be in the main event.

Fuel prices have a great deal to do with things I realize. But there are racers (we all have them) that will do what they can to get there. We have had some tow from the Torrence side of LA to race Bandit shows at Santa Maria and Kings. Serious racers they are and we try to make them welcomed.

I am sure some 410 teams would love to race that might be on the fence, it is supposed to be very warm this week-end and Pismo is a few miles up the road.

Love to see 360 teams welcomed but unfortunately at times USAC has gone the extra mile to discourage participation. I know there are some great 360 teams that would love to run but they are under 18 and not ready to amancipate. So we'll seehow many show. I do hope they take advantage of the opportunity to race with the 410, it would be a confidence boost for many of them. Most 360 drivers are capable of being ver competitive with USAC/CRA and its only the top few that are in another demension. It is a great experience to dabble with the next step.

All things considered I am looking to a great race on a great race track.
