OKCFan, I was just bustin' your chops. Honestly, I think those guys must have money to burn. Building a track halfway between Ada and Meeker??? Seems awfully close to two competeing tracks. On the other hand they may be geniuses, it might be the perfect place. What do I know???

OKCFan12 I did'nt intend on anyone taking my post on here seriously. Was stating the way I feel about a few things.I realize that no body in their right mind would spend that much money on even half of what I posted. There are many issues with Lanny and his clowns @ SFS. Yes there is years of history there,If given the chance though IF another track was built like the one several of us on here keep dreaming about ( joking about ) you would not see a single car at SFS.History is not that significant.Racing in Okla will always be around and will change from time to time.I still say SFS never should have changed the tracks, we had The 1/2 mile track was a hp track but I have seen several guys field cars that could not afford it.( That family thing ).For the less expensive cars ( sorta ) We had the 1/4 track. That all worked great for many years. If you cant agree with this thats ok, all you have to do is ask some of the drivers like Dutch,Earnest or Harold the ones that have many laps behind them. Tracks can also be manipulated to pit driver against driver as you see with slick tracks. That eliminates a lot of the 25k engines vs 10k ones as far as having the advantage.BTW about the only way all the other stuff would happen is a type of maps tax increase.Remington Park cost just over one hundred million back then.

aw man i wasn't offended by it or anything. no i dont completely disagree with you. i mean - i really like the susbstance of your posts in this thread. and i think they make great points. and maybe with a little better promoting - having a half and quarter would be viable again. hell maybe it is now. its not an idea i'm actually against. to see racing again on 2 tracks like that would be awesome - just as long as it did not have an effect on the overall show. so in truth - i dont really disagree with you all that much.............i'm all for whatever will be best for sfs.

I think the main problem with the fairgrounds is the track itself. It's a joke. I have been going to races for about 20 years and it's by far the most boring races I have ever seen. They need to tear it up and reshape it or just build a whole new facility. Here is a link to what a real 3/8th's should look like. SFS is just a wanna be. Im sorry if this pisses anyone off but the truth hurts sometimes. http://www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com/photo_gallery.php?categoryid=60&img_count=6

Finally someone besides me has commented on the shape of the track. It is really dumb and kinda promotes the one groove racing we keep complaining about. Look at it on Yahoo maps sattelite image so you can see it from above. Stupid Lanny.
