Yeah, his dad Tom drove in those days. I'm pretty sure theWilliams Bros 11x had BK in it in '87.
Why don't you fill the"Huge void?" I won't be back. Taking a year off really made me realize what I have missed with my family. I have traveled to Utah and Tennessee this last year, in spring and summer. We have 16 grandkids and half of them live outside California.
There was several very loyal people that encouraged me out there, but it just got too hard to justify a weekly committment with all the increasing expenses of travel etc.
I'm afraid, with the short car counts, expense of competing, invironmentalists, lack of track preparation, and sooo many other factors, it is going to take an unforseen shot in the arm to get winged sprint cars - - primarily 410's - - back to the good old days. My sales slipped every year since 1990 and I knew the inevitable day would come. I loved what I was doing, and never did it for the money, but the day comes when you have to admit when the expense of operation exceeds the return.
I'm living on a retirement income and we're not in a position to continue if it costs me to keep going. I always had the dream that SOMEDAY we would be able to put together a weeklyTV coverage. I've alway thought the the west coast sprint car scene is as good as anywhere in the world. But alas, things have gone down, down, down.

Same reason Grove, the cost, supporting 3 Generations on a limited income. Your right, Finest People in the World in Racing on This Coast.
