The United States didn't buy into the Kyoto Protocol, we're not going to be bullied by the EU....can those pussies actually bully anyone???

How soon they forget that The USofA is the reason they don't speak German today!

Donn, nobody is denying the fact the earth has warmed a .5 degrees in the last 20 years. But you ask what scientists have to gain by lying??? How do you think a scientists makes a living??? Who pays his salary?? Find out who pays them and you will be able to figure out their position on Man made global warming.

Al Gore wants to be the leader of this change in American lifestyle, when he makes the changes himself I will start to become worried about how warm it might get.

Since carbon dioxide is the main pollutant (funny that what a person exhales is a pollutant), maybe we can get all the Enviormentalist's and Hillary for sure to hold their breath and we might have the problem solved.

Carter was bumbling fool - but at least I gave somewhat a hell about the american people. this president could care less - and even worse he seems to have the pulse of the people - which is they can't tell their assholes from their elbows..................

but nonetheless Gore is at least trying to achieve SOMETHING to benefit humanity. like I said about demographics............this is not a good place to bring up common sense. whoever thinks it is a scam isn't even in the ballpark - there is little to be gained by such a "scam" - but a hell of a lot more to lose by ignoring it. but you folks rest easy that everytime you rejoice in the good ol' american tradition of proudly filling your vehicle with gas bought from Saudi Arabia - our REAL enemies win a lil bit more...............it is so suprising to see so many race fans not support getting off of massive consumption of foreign oil. when it's no longer viable for reg. people with vehicles to fill up - trust it will be made sure that tanks have 50 years of oil left much more than race cars have 50 days. and for kicks - if you want to view a "scam" - one needs only read about our "project" in Iraq..........

when thinking of how nice it must be to be blissfully ignorant - it is on prime display here..................although its great to see the poor excuses run rampant when events unfold that prove you all wrong. even this government acknowledges that climate change is real - so when conservatives talk about it being a hoax - you are part of a group that must be living on a completely different planet. either way ya'll will have it rough - when you or your future generations have to suffer through it........or you'll see the entire world take action for us not doing anything about it.................ah the good ol' united states of arrogance...............

OKC, don't confuse the idea of scientists and the current administrtion accepting global warming, as it is happening to a degree, with them accepting us being the main cause. the majority of scientists do not agree that global warming is caused in the most part by us. that is not to say that we should neglect what we can do to lessen our impact. i think we all would be happy to be able to lessen our dependency on foreign oil, but lessening our use of oil bought from countries that are our enimies in other respects will have no effect on global warming in itself. not if we just replace that oil with oil from somewhere else, or replace it with something that causes the same pollution. i have no problem with, and am not against alternative fuels, but this global warming thing is being pushed and misrepresented by people and countries with an underlying agenda. when they want to start charging people and companies and countries money for the amount of carbon they produce and redistribute that money to other people and companies and countries it is time to say wtf. as far as carbon credits are concerned, that is the biggest scam out there. if we are 10 years away from a global catsatrophy planting some trees to try to offset the waste you are still producing is not making any headway. it will take longer for the trees to grow to try to absorb or replace anything. buying carbon credits is like a sinner going to church to repent. they are still going to sin, they just feel better doing it.

Not so fast wise guy..................PLANTS/TREES give off nearly 220 tons of methane each and every year!  That's nearly 30% of the earth's methane...

Methane is 20 times more effective (worse if you're a liberal) at trapping heat in the atmosphere than is carbon dioxide!

Housing starts are down, ELF is hell bent on stopping our harvest of timber......

Al Gore's Family were the largest shareholder in Occidental Petroleum, and benifited greatly from Hughs Tool and Haliburton, the only Companys in the World to implement Horizintal Drilling

ol' henry invented briquets too. does bar-b-q contribute to global warming?

Let's keep bar-b-q low on the list of changes needed. The last thing we need is greener bar-b-q. Besides, if we try too hard, we might go in a freezing cycle!

bri·quette also bri·quet (br-kt)

n.
A block of compressed coal dust, charcoal, or sawdust and wood chips, used for fuel and kindling.

Ok by Me.

Prieto then reminded me of a factoid he had passed along in the days of front-engined dragsters. He said, "You know that you're in deep trouble in a dragster if you can suddenly see things clearly. That means the supercharger has been blown off the top of the engine and the raw nitromethane fuel has eaten through your visor."

lots of folks benefit from Halaburtion, but only the left wing liberals seem to think that Haluburton is a Republican owned and operated enity, organized for the pure benefit of the Republican party.

I'm no left-wing liberal - and I don't think Halliburton and republicans are deeply connected.......but I do think they are a powerful corporation who stands to make a ton of money off of war. yes I know - they are only 1 of many. they are just another of the long line who benefit off the backs of the common man. this has become the norm socially and economically. sorry if I misled you there..........but the evils of private corporations and greed are manufactered by liberals and conservatives.........democrats and republicans. thats where my argument comes in on why we are "stuck" so to speak - with the 2 main parties we now have. most often I answer my own question - it is because both parties are filled with dirty greedy bastards who have made tons of money off the american taxpayer and have used that money to solidify themselves and their parties. as I've always said - and as no one has ever listened - I'm not a liberal or conservative. I agree and disagree with both sides. I do find liberals to be the far more rational of the 2 - but it's all the same in the end. everyone knows they are misled and cares nothing about changing anything. no sir - no left or right for me. all who purposely categorize to suit their arm chair crap talking needs are ripping this country apart. both sides hate each other........so it's an extreme disservice to my country (whether I like it or not), to my grandfather (fought in D-Day), or to my beliefs as an individual..........to associate myself with either of 2 groups who are ruining anything good in this country and are both clearly in the wrong. I prefer a free and independent way of thinkin - not to be determined by what party my voting card has on it. in a unified country - both parties and their followers should be considerate to an extent with one another. both liberals and conservatives should work together ----- and whereas I see both wrong in the broad sense - most conservatives seem fanatical - which is highly ironic since that is what they are so preoccupied with - fanatics. I guess it takes one to know one. instead of bashing on the other side - why doesn;t everyone just take an interest in the other side so that if that other side wins - you are still involved and not out pissing in the wind and talkin crap? thats why I give just as much attention to republican debates as I do Democratic debates............because this country can ill afford to have 8 more years of dividing the country the way we have had for the last 8 years. folks will never see eye-to-eye but at the same time - everyone has carelessly embraced the division in this country - blind to the course that puts the country on. both sides should give a lil bit of ground to meet in the middle - in the name of progress of common goals.

even I think this is a rather weird post considering most others. btw 257 entries at the chili bowl is amazing! and to think many thought last year was an anomoly that would be hard to match - now it looks as if another record count will be set. thats great. and does anybody know exactly what will be televised for the HBO-PPV show? will it be just the B's and A feature and highlights of the rest or what?
