It isn't unexpected, but it seems like they're pretty light on announced full timers for 2023.  Maybe I just don't remember, but we usually have a few more signed on at PRI each year?  Is there a reason for teams waiting, or have I missed news of teams saying they're in?  I know the new series are going to throw a few surprises, but am I just worrying too early?

It's quieter than normal. February is around the corner. I have no info but expect some surprises yet going forward. There is nothing new under the sun though. It's been done before and the Outlaws prevailed even after having some slim years. Could be beneficial for all long term who knows.

Got to hope the WoO get the support they deserve! I have been leary of NASCRAP coming in for several years now! I was hoping they would just screw up their own sport and leave my Beloved 410 sprints alone! Like them or not the WoO have been the backbone of our sport for many a year! Long live the world of outlaws, Still "the greatest show on dirt!"

On the othe side of that coin I think there are more stars away from the WOO than members, plenty of them.  But wait, WOO-zers have Kraig Kinser...jmo

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

What does "NASCRAP" have to do with it?

Track House racing, Stewart, Larson, Bowman, Stenhouse jr, kasey Kane, and if I remember correctly the "Big Rat" tried nascrap before turming to dirt! more and more want to try their hand at dirt racing! More crapcar money getting thrown at 410 sprints I don't think is a good thing! JMO

Not really sure what you're getting at here.  You seem to imply that Stewart, Larson, Stenhouse, and Kahne tried NASCAR and failed?   Then they turned to dirt after failing at NASCAR?   These drivers came up racing on dirt.   I know three of them did and I think Bowman probably did too.    I'm no longer a NASCAR fan, but would we have the #49 and #17 teams if Kahne and Stenhouse weren't NASCAR drivers?

Sounds like Bayston, McFadden, Gass and Sides Motorsports are all officially committed. Gravel makes an announcement this week, but not sure if it'll be the news everyone is waiting for.

Zearfoss and Rose as well but so far none of the big guns or teams are committed.

Because this is a Tuesday night series....why would the Outlaws only allow there teams to race in only 4 of these shows?  When they race most of there races during the weekend.  That is the part I will never understand.  I know the arguments against it.....they are all stupid rebuttals.....sorry WRG you are very, very wrong on this one.  The outlaws should let there drivers race the whole series without any type of penalty.  No wonder the teams aren't jumping at signing on the dotted line.

BTW - I really like the Outlaws - WRG just isn't playing fairly on this one and it could cost them with support of the drivers.  Time will tell.  I hope it doesn't but anything can happen.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Fargo Mike,

My understanding is that WRG is not allowing platinum drivers to participate in the Eldora race that pays 1,002,023 dollars to win.    When WRG came up with their "limit of 4 non WoO races" rules and limitations for platinum drivers,  they excluded the soon to be announced Eldora race (which everybody seemed to already know about).      If enough of the former platinum drivers push back,  maybe WRG will allow them to try to win the big money.

At this point drivers have to choose between racing for $1,002,023 (and wherever else they want) OR being an "Outlaw".

If  your an owner and spend  a ton of money, the last thing you want to hear when there is a big payday race is you can't run it.

I understand that the WOO is a business.

Businesses don't make money if they give their product away.

The race teams are their product.

Letting teams that have signed contracts run outside their sactioned races is giving their product away.

If the race teams don't like being considered a product then the answer is simple. Don't sign the contract.

Might not seem fair to some (who ever said life is fair) but why should a track pay a sactioning fee if you can get the product for free.
