Robert Ballou went for a wild ride last night at Manzanita Speedway during night one of the 40thWestern World. Ballou was battling for fourth place on lap 18 when he and another car made contact that sent Ballou in a vicious series of flips down the back straight and into turn three. It took awhile to remove Ballou but he did get out under his own power. He was taken to the hospital for X-rays and it was discovered that he broke his left forearm. It is a clean break that will just require a cast. He flies back to Rocklin on Sunday and goes to the doctors on Monday to put the cast. He will need the cast on for six weeks and this obviously will end his 2007 racing season. He had plans on finishing tonight with USAC and the competing in the Trophy Cup at Tulare. We want to wish him a speedy recovery.

Dean Mills got part of the wreck on tape, its pretty rough. The guy standing behind the wall is REALLY lucky Roberts car didnt come over the concrete wall.
