Attention Media/Press Photographers who attend Kings Speedway. I'm Posting this message to an on going problem with the promoter of Kings Speedway and Paul Trevino.Mr. Dias has not granted me Photo Credentials to Kings Speedway since April 07. I would like to state that my photos are Nationally publicized on Hoseheads And National Speed Sport News .Dais told me I would not receive a photo credential because I sent a photo to another web page, that He has had a fewed with. I was simply doing my job reporting to the PRESS! Yesterday I received an e-mail from Mr.Dais asking me not to take any Photos or to bring my camera.W.T.F Your not gong to deny me my 1st amendment right under the U.S. Constitution freedom of the press. And it states Freedom of the Press (or Press Freedom) is the guarantee by a government of free public press for its citizens and their associations, extended to members of news gathering organizations, and their published reporting. It also extends to news gathering, and processes involved in obtaining information for public distribution. Thank You Paul Trevino.

I had the same problem trying to get into the Indy 500 with my video camera. What nerve, how dare they! Don't they know I have a web site? I suggest you call 1-900-ACLU and reporting this immediately.
(Sarcasm off)
I'm by no means a constitutional scholar but I do believe the first amendment protects you from GOVERNMENT suppression of speech (or press.) It does not give you the right to go onto someone's PRIVATE property, even for the sake of "simply doing my job reporting to the PRESS"
Amendment I
Amendment I of the United States Constitution
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. "

Paul, the way you worded the first line of your post it sounded like someone was complaining about the promoter and you. I didn't catch on that you wrote it. I realize you have been shooting at Hanford for a long time and are a well-respected photographer. I feel bad about your falling out with the management after so many years. It sucks and its not fair, however, in my opinion, it is certainly not a 1st amendment issue.
